Job Description

The purpose of the Neurology Sales Specialist is to increase sales and market share in their assigned geographic and therapeutic areas. Successful interaction with healthcare professionals and other designated decision makers is a primary responsibility.

Utilizing all available Sales and Marketing resources is a key expectation. Major duties and responsibilities that are critical and necessary, and that must be done to achieve this position's overall objective.

  • Delivers sales results via calls on targeted physicians in 80% assigned territory to implement sales, marketing and patient support programs to get and keep patients on Teva Neuroscience products

  • Trains and educates physician support staff on the proper use, handling and administration of Teva Neuroscience products

  • Assures that healthcare professionals have realistic expectations concerning the use of Teva Neuroscience products with their patients

  • Maintains communication and integrates activities, when 10% appropriate, with Professional Education and Account Management

  • Identifies customer changes and ensures, through coordinated 10% communication and planning, that appropriate people and financial resources are allocated to address the change

The Akron Ohio territory extends from North Mentor, OH; South Youngstown, OH; East Warren, OH; West Medina, OH. The Ideal candidate would live in or around Akron, Ohio.


Education required: Bachelor's Degree

Education preferred: Bachelor's Degree in science or business

Specific experience required: 5 plus years pharmaceutical or health related fields, 3 years Prior Authorization Experience Pharma sales experience preferred

Responsibilities include: * Providing strategic consultation to assigned line-of-business (LOB) customers in defining or designing network engineering processes, functions and organizational structures, as well as in researching, identifying and internally marketing enabling technologies based on customer requirements. * Facilitating agreement on organizational work models to meet business requirements. * Working closely with business units and support functions to define IT requirements and align with service provider standard solutions. * Identifying and building business cases for unique IT solutions or deviations from the IT outsourcer's standard solutions * Collaborating with enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development. * Participating in enterprise architecture development, including business architecture, information architecture, application portfolio and technical architecture. * Seeking ways to apply new technology to, and reuse existing technology for, business processes * Facilitating development of cross enterprise solutions that combine knowledge of general business processes and issues, general technological options, and process facilitation techniques. Qualifications: * Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field of engineering required; M.B.A. preferred * Minimum of 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years of IT architecture experience with Bachelor's Degree, or at least 7 years of IT architecture experience with Associate's degree, and a minimum of 2 years of experience working in an outsourced environment either as client or provider, required. * Knowledgeable in all aspects of designing and constructing network infrastructure processes, functions and defining IT system and platform requirements * Deep experience in managing IT in an outsourced environment. * Comprehensive knowledge of facilitation and organization change management.
