The Neurology Account Specialist (NAS) engages with targeted customers and effectively communicates the value proposition for GOCOVRI for approved indications. The NAS achieves this through use of strong engagement skills, exemplary product, disease state and market knowledge; and stellar account planning involving all strategic stakeholders within a defined sales territory.


  • Effectively communicate the GOCOVRI product profile to targeted neurologists within a specific geographical territory to exceed sales goals;

  • Employ customer-focused interaction techniques to identify unmet needs at individual customer level;

  • Tailor approved sales messaging to each decision-maker across the customer organization;

  • Leverage Adamas Customer Engagement approach throughout the sales interaction to identify and overcome customer barriers;

  • Develop relationships with local Key Opinion Leaders in Movement Disorder Centers and in key neurology offices that could support peer-to-peer education;

  • Participate in disease state and patient-focused advocacy programs

  • Identify and propose ethical, innovative, customer-oriented tactics in response to market trends;

  • Prepare and present reports/presentations for Adamas leadership and for regional/national sales meetings as needed;

  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as, US healthcare laws and regulations.


  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience;

  • Proven track record with documentation of successful sales performance;

  • Neurology sales experience highly desirable with movement disorder experience a key plus;

  • Experience selling into an Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) a key plus;

  • Strong science acumen needed to sell complexities of GOCOVRI in a simple and compelling manner;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills;

  • Strong organizational, analytical and business planning skills;

  • Must be able to communicate with many diverse customer audiences, therapeutic; decision makers, and other external and internal stakeholders;

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to drive business objectives;

  • Must be flexible, innovative and self-motivated;

  • Ability to drive a car, possess a valid and current driver's license, and have a safe driving record;

  • Ability to travel adequately to cover territory, as well as overnight attendance at training meetings;

  • Travel required: 25 -50% of time;

  • Some weekend work may be required from time to time in relation with Advocacy Events

  • Successful experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment;

The Sales Account Representative must live in the Orlando, FL area. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization's products/services. * Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers. * Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential. * Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. * Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints. * Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups. * Analyzes the territory/market's potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customer value to the organization. * Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities. * Identifies advantages and compares organization's products/services. * Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the return on time investment for the territory/segment. * Supplies management with verbal and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. * Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through reading pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas. * Participates in trade shows and conventions. * Performs ad hoc responsibilities, as needed. ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES * Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. * Two to four years direct sales or account management experience. * In lieu of direct sales experience, candidate must possess a minimum of three to five years client relationship management experience or National MI operational experience in mortgage operations, sales, or underwriting. * Customer relationship management ( or other) experience. * Relationship management meeting facilitation experience required. * Previous retail, wholesale and/or correspondent lending experience is preferred. * Knowledge of all aspects of mortgage origination process including pricing, underwriting, closing, and compliance. * Presentation skills are required as are analytical and problem solving skills. * Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Personable and well-presented over phone and via email. * Reliable, organized and consistent. * Willing to update product knowledge on an ongoing basis. * Skill in written and verbal communication. * 50 percent travel is required.
