The University of Texas Southwestern Medical, Department of Neurology and Neurotherapeutics is seeking an outstanding academic General Neurologist to join their regional Neurology Clinic at their state-of-the art clinic in Fort Worth, TX.

Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas. The successful candidate should have completed a Neurology fellowship and should be board certified by the ABPN for adult or child neurology. Academic rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

This is a part-time position (.3 position). The position will help play a role with the expansion of ambulatory services in the satellite clinic in Fort Worth and will be functioning as a General Neurologist, with responsibilities and duties in outpatient clinical activities in Neurology.

This position is located in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas This is a part-time position working a set schedule of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and other days as needed. The hours are anywhere between 7am and 7pm on those days. Job Description Red Cross Health & Safety Instructors have a direct impact on their communities, instructing nearly 2.3 million people a year in CPR, first aid, and AED skills. Each day, you will interact with new people, traveling to locations in and around your region to teach. Classes are held at local chapter offices and at businesses, schools and community organizations. Our instructors thrive on helping others be prepared for emergencies and take satisfaction in knowing they are directly helping to save lives. Responsibilities * Teaches Red Cross Health and Safety courses within their current certifications to businesses and to the community * Responsible for maintaining, managing, and storing all assigned equipment, including storage at assigned work location and transporting equipment in personal vehicle. Responsible for re-ordering all necessary equipment at least once per month and maintaining and managing an active inventory of supplies at-all-times. * Ensures that the proper safety measures are in place to protect customers and staff who participate in the training activities. * When an instructor's certification is at the level of an Instructor Trainer, they may mentor or coach other instructors as a part of new instructor orientation or during instructor remediation provide supervision to instructors to ensure high quality delivery of services and products. * Additional duties may include the following: engage with Training Specialist regarding course updates and latest changes to products/services, participation during Red Cross Town Hall Meetings, quarterly In-Service Training, product updates, training requirement, certification classes and approved development training. In addition, instructors may need to perform light logistics such as restocking of equipment, which must be pre-approved by the Training Specialist. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Current certification to be an instructor in discipline is desired. Additional training and certification will be provided to qualified candidate after hire through American Red Cross Health & Safety Service courses. Once certified, the instructor must maintain current basic and instructor level certifications for the courses they have been hired to teach * Six months previous experience in education, adult training or service industry preferred * Basic computer and email skills and demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office programs * Comfort and experience in using audio-visual technology (computer/LCD, PowerPoint, etc.) for educational delivery * Must have strong presentation abilities and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate course material in a clear and understandable manner. Customer service orientation. Ability to teach effectively in an adult learning environment * Flexible schedule required during the day, evening or weekends * Ability to travel regionally 50-75%.
