Overview

Position Summary: The Neurophysiologist Technician Per Diem is under minimal supervision of the Ambulatory PCS manager, performs a wide variety of Neurodiagnostic studies to include both in- patient and out- patient EEG testing.

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist 1 is an entry to mid-level position in the Neurodiagnostic unit / Neurophysiology lab and department. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist 1 performs procedures according to standards set up by the department. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist 1 can perform test set up, electrode application and maintain patient safety during clinical significant events and other related duties.

Communication skills are essential for this position. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist consistently demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care in the ambulatory and in- patient settings.

Qualifications: Enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program or an Associates Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired.

Enrolled in or completion of an internship program as a Neurophysiologist technologist to gain experience. 6 months or more working in a patient care environment, pediatric experience preferred. License, Registration or Certification required: Current BLS certification. Will certify as a Registered Neurophysiology Technician within 2 years of hire and or graduation.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Demonstrated organizational skills. Familiar with basic computer knowledge -with emphasis on Word and Excel.

Pay Scale Information

USD $41.48 - USD $41.48

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
