Job Summary
Under general supervision and following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, performs the neurodiagnostic procedures including EEG, continuous EEG (cEEG) and cEEG clipping and pruning as requested. Is eligible to assist Neuro Special Procedures Technologist 3, Neurophysiologic Monitorists(as applicable) and cross-train or independent to perform advanced neurodiagnostic procedures including Carotid Endarterectomy (CEA), stereo EEG (sEEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) and Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (IONM). Assists Neurology Physician team, as defined by job duties, as requested. Processes test results and reports findings to physicians per unit standards. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission and vision of Tampa General Hospital.
Qualifications
Has successfully completed training and is ABRET Board registered in EEG (R.EEGT.) and is eligible to test for or have achieved a 2nd neurodiagnostic registry (R.EPT., CLTM, R.NCST./CNCT, CNIM).
Successfully trained in 1 or more advanced neurodiagnostic modalities and documented to be independent in performing 1 or more of the following procedures, stereo EEG (sEEG), clinical evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction velocity (NCV) or intra operative neuromonitoring (IONM). 2nd registry preferred.
