AIS is looking for a cleared Network Threat Support Specialist who will be responsible for developing tools and scripts to facilitate simulations of cyber adversaries. TS/SCI with Polygraph required for this position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform the role of a cyber adversary in simulated cyber exercises creating tools, scripts, and other deliverables that will simulate the TTPs of a cyber adversary

  • Assist in the planning and execution of cyber exercises with organizations across the DoD

  • Perform research into current cyber adversary tools, tactics, and procedures

  • Interact with DoD forces for the purpose of training network defenders

  • Work effectively with a team of professional cyber threat emulators to create high fidelity cyber exercises

  • Effectively record daily activities during an exercise and accurately report on them

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Experience

  • JR - BA/BS + 2yr experience OR 4yrs (no degree)

  • MID - BA/BS + 3yr experience OR 6yrs (no degree)

  • SR - BA/BS + 5yrs experience OR 8yrs (no degree)

  • Familiarity with penetration testing

  • Understanding of adversarial tactics within a network

  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems

  • Experience with Kali Linux

  • Ability to code in either Python or Ruby

  • Report writing skills

  • 8570 certification

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required

  • U.S. Citizenship Required

VIEW JOBS 7/20/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-10-18T00:00 The Network Threat Support Specialist will perform analysis to support cyber operation. The NTSS will serve as a member of a computer network operations (CNO) intelligence team, focused on the threat to networked weapons platforms and US and DoD information networks. The NTSS will collaborate with analytical counterparts across the U.S. Intelligence Community; apply knowledge of threat environment, open-source tools, and current implementation of threat technologies in order to devise all-source analytic/collection strategies to pursue access and exploitation of targets of interest. Required Qualifications: Eight (8) plus years of experience in the following with six (6) continuous years of work experience in network and vulnerability analysis: * Perform opposing cyber force functions using state of the art penetration and threat tools * Current in penetration tools and techniques * Hands on experience supporting security assessments, RED/BLUE Teams, and/or Penetration Testing in Windows and UNIX/LINUX environments * Experience in three or more of the following areas: network reconnaissance to identify devices and protocols, information gathering from network devices and hosts, vulnerability analysis based on information discovered in network reconnaissance and information gathering, auditing and exploiting web vulnerabilities, analyzing and manipulating network packets, Password Attacks, Sniffing and Spoofing, exploiting vulnerabilities identified in the assessment phase * Experience writing reports based on results of security testing and analysis Hands on experience working in a virtual environment to include installing and configuring networks preferred * Experience as opposing forces in an exercise or training event preferred * Hands on experience working in a virtual environment to include installing and configuring networks preferred * Hands on Experience in Windows and UNIX/LINUX environments using a variety of tools such as Metasploit, DNSwalk, Wireshark, Nmap, Armitage, Aircrack, Burp Suite, Routersploit, Firewalk, Cuckoo, Dumpzilla, Bluesnarfer and exploitdb Preferred Qualifications: * Working knowledge of KALI Linux and the KALI Tool Suite * Bachelor's degree with eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience or a Master's degree with six (6) to eight (8) years of experience Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI/POLY This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
