We are currently seeking experienced Network Technicians to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting a significant state-wide switch refresh project. Job Description: As a Network Technician with The State of Tennessee your primary responsibility will be to support the State's enterprise switch refresh project.

This ambitious project involves replacing over 3800 switches with various physical and logical configurations over a 4-year period. You will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the smooth transition and maintenance of the network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

Configuration, installation, evaluation, monitoring, and problem diagnosis and resolution of Cisco IOS and NX-OS switches. Knowledge of how to upgrade code on Cisco devices to ensure network security and performance. Configuration, installation, evaluation, monitoring, and problem diagnosis and resolution of Local Area Networks (LAN). Configuration, installation, evaluation, monitoring, and problem diagnosis and resolution of Local Area Network Wide Area Networks (WAN). Proficiency in identifying the causes of networking problems using diagnostic testing software and tools to ensure optimal network performance and minimal downtime.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in network administration and support. Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and protocols, specifically Cisco IOS and NX-OS.

Proven experience in switch configuration, installation, and monitoring. Familiarity with Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and configurations. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve networking issues.

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
