Summary: The Network / Systems Administrator serves as the primary resolution point of any basic or advanced enterprise-scale technical issues. Additional responsibilities include advanced-level support of Helpdesk Specialist tasks, and the design, implementation, monitoring, maintenance and upgrade of all enterprise systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Installation, Configuration Troubleshooting and maintenance of (not limited to);

  • Servers (Physical / Virtual) including VMware / VCenter

  • Cisco Unified Communication Framework

  • LAN / WAN / Internet equipment and software

  • Connectivity to all company sites, cloud services, and partner organizations

  • Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Security procedures and controls

  • AS400 Administration/Backups

  • Create, maintain documentation and provide reporting for:

  • Ticketing and end user self-service

  • Maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets

  • Overall IT Infrastructure reference material

  • IT Knowledgebase

Other Resonsibilities:

  • Provide support to owners on personal technology issues that arise.

  • Audio/Visual Equipment troubleshooting

  • Sonitrol administration

Knowledge & Experience:

  • VMware including vMotion

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2012 R2 / 2016, Active Directory & NTFS Permissions & all associated roles, Microsoft Exchange 2016, Microsoft SQL Server (All versions).

  • Cisco network L2/L3 switches, routers.

  • Fortigate and Sonicwall Firewalls, including IPSec VPN with 2FA.

  • Strong Understanding of Networking (L1/L2/L3/L7).

  • Support Desktop/notebook PCs; Peripherals printers and MFPs, Cell phones, tablets and other mobile devices.

  • Participation and ownership of IT project role.

  • Providing leadership, technical escalation detail.

Preferred Skills/Familiarity:

  • Sage CRM & CRE, IBM AS/400 , VOIP , VMWare , Cisco UC, Veeam, Sophos AntiVirus, CMiC, MRI

  • Minimum of 3+ years of related experience.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some lifting and or carrying of items up to 50 pounds may occasionally be required.

The Opportunity As the company continues to grow we are recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our R&D Instrument Platforms organization to provide technical leadership for the realization of a new / substantially evolved existing product/feature within our portfolio of products. The individual should have an eye for creating custom engineering solutions and be well-versed in each stage of the R&D systems life cycle while driving results within the project constraints of schedule, cost, performance, quality and reliability objectives. The Responsibilities * Drives refinement/ translation of stakeholder requirements (Customer, safety, reliability, clinical, serviceability, manufacturability, quality etc.), requirements management policies of the program and quality of requirements, development of technical approach, top level design, feasibility of potential technical solutions, and allocation of derived requirements (including functionality, interface specifications and design budgets) onto affected subsystems. * Evaluates systems and make recommendations for improvements and solutions * Harmonizes common product features, system functions and improvement solutions across relevant products * Works with a team to ensure projects are completed effectively and efficiently. * Plans, oversees and executes the Systems Engineering activities in the project, including initiation, coordination, synchronization, review and integration of the technical work performed within various engineering disciplines with respect to supported subsystem(s). * Leads cross-discipline feasibility and tradeoff studies. * Drives subsystem-level design & technical reviews. * Leads derivation/budgeting/allocation of system/subsystems requirements and interfaces. * Leads defect management, risk management, usability activities * Leads the preparation of documentation, including configuration documentation, DHF etc. * Leads system integration (follow up, analysis, problem solving), verification and validation. Minimum Requirements * Minimum three (3) progressive years of experience in Systems Engineering or minimum seven (7) progressive years of experience in capital equipment development. * Three (3) plus years involvement in a multi-discipline project development environment. * Three (3) plus years of engineering experience of complex systems in one area and deep understanding in a second one (SW/ EE/ME etc.). * Systems thinking acuity * Demonstrated ability in technical analysis including evaluation of multiple candidate solutions and significant evaluation of intangibles * Ability to propose methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to realize product functionality * Ability to work well in a team environment * Proven technical leadership in matrix environment. * Excellent organizational skills * Excellent communication, influencing and conflict resolution skills * Experience with technical writing and English fluency * Experience working with development partners * Ability to triage product issues and perform root cause investigations * Adapt quickly to obstacles and changing demands. * Operates through the entire system engineering process model * Ability to think like our customers and have a service-oriented mindset to better anticipate needs, resolve issues more quickly and ultimately create seamless user experiences Preferred Requirements * Five (5) progressive years of experience in Systems Engineering. * Experience with Systems Engineering for medical devices * Six Sigma background * Systems modeling background * Demonstrated experience in physics, mathematics, algorithms, optics, fluid dynamics #CB For this position we will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
