Network Systems Engineer
Your tasks
As a Network Systems Engineer, you will be a viable member of a team focused on building high-quality, state-of-the-art passenger trains.
Key Responsibilities
Designing and configuring the network infrastructure and collaboration in the development of new network strategies
System integration of communication and information systems in Stadler vehicles, taking into account customer requirements, standards and statutory provisions
Preparation of engineering and production documents (e.g. electrical schematic and system drawings)
Initial commissioning, validation and maintenance of the systems
Interdisciplinary coordination with Electrical and Software Engineering, Installation Planning, Purchasing, and other groups and departments
Create system and customer documentation
Provide user training and support
Collaborate with suppliers and certification authorities in an international environment
Interpret and incorporate local, federal and customer requirements into system designs
Ensure compliance with customer requirements while also considering applicable standards, laws and national requirements
Your profile
Bachelor's degree in software, computer or electrical engineering
Experience in network communication systems in the transport or industrial sector
Experience in network system security
Experience in various communication technologies (e.g. VPN, VLAN, XML-RPC etc.)
Excellent communication and writing skills
Excellent technical problem-solving abilities with strong teamwork skills
Knowledge of Java and/or Python is a plus
Business fluent in English
2-5 (II), 5-8 (III), 8-10 (IV) or 10+ (Sr.) years of relevant experience in railway or similar industries
