Network & Systems Administrator II (Corp) - 1St Shift

Join a team of professional where you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation, management and support of all aspects of the company's IT network and systems infrastructure. In this role, this person performs a variety of complex professional duties that are critical to the daily operations of the business, and works closely with and under the supervision of the Network Infrastructure Manager.

• Providing first tier network and systems support with preliminary troubleshooting and escalates to senior level Network & System Administrators as necessary.

• Maintaining a network and systems architecture and technology strategy that supports the company's mission and business objectives.

• Developing and maintaining network and systems architecture documentation.

• Assisting with developing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans and procedures.

• Assisting with maintaining a backup infrastructure and tests regularly to verify validity.

• Maintaining appropriate network and systems security policies and procedures developed by the Network Manager and Director of IT & Cybersecurity, including but not limited to:

• Network authentication protocols, password policies, permissions, virus and malware protection, and intrusion IDS/IPS.

• Maintaining and monitoring network security software and appliances and responding to alerts as needed.

• Researching and recommending new and emerging technologies.

• Installing, upgrading, repairing, configuring, testing, monitoring, optimizing and supporting;

• All LAN/WAN network hardware, including but not limited to: cabling, patch panels, switches, routers, wireless access points, and wireless bridges.

• All server hardware, including fixtures and environment.

• All back-end server systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Windows Server and services, Windows SharePoint Services, Virtual Machine administration, Email Systems, Firewalls, EDR solutions, and Backup systems.

• All networked printers.

• Working closely with the Desktop Support Analysts to resolve overlapping issues.

• Providing good communication upstream and downstream to notify of changes or problems that have occurred which could affect others.

• Effectively utilize work order ticketing system to manage operational tasks.

• Completing quarterly training as defined by supervisor.

• Performing other duties as necessary.

Bring Our Expertise:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

• 1+ years experience as a Network & Systems Technician.

• Qualified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent knowledge.

• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Must be highly customer focused and service oriented.

• Must have good attention to detail and high analytical problem solving abilities.
