    Job Description of ENS OPS:
    While working in ENS OPS, our job duties at a very high level are to maintain the fleet
    of network devices, circuits to and between data centers and POP sites. Maintaining the
    fleet requires to monitor, react, respond, troubleshoot, and fix the alerts, alarms, and issues
    in various network devices and circuits including but not limited to Cisco, Juniper,
    Arista, HP, Force10 switches and routers. It requires regular interaction with ISPs and
    . With the huge number of devices customer in datacenters, over time fans, power supplies,
    optics, cables and sometimes whole devices fail. ENS DC Team job is to identify
    what pieces and parts have failed, and then fix or replace those parts to ensure the network
    devices run optimally and redundantly.
    Another piece of maintaining the fleet is troubleshooting links between network devices.
    Many types of errors can occur on a link and its our job to identify if there is an issue,
    then troubleshoot the issue to find the root cause, fix the issue, document what we have
    fixed and make sure asset databases are updated.
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Install, configure and support large-scale production and corporate network infrastructure
    including routers, switches, console servers and optical transport equipment.
    Troubleshoot network hardware and software, working with 3rd party hardware
    vendors and suppliers on root cause analysis and resolution.
    Troubleshoot and repair local and long haul circuits, working with both internal resources
    and 3rd party vendors to isolate and resolve cabling issues.
    Schedule and perform network maintenance, repair, and upgrade tasks as needed
    while limiting the impact on the production network
    Use internal software, tools, and scripts to configure, monitor, and repair network
    equipment
    Perform queue management for alarms, tasks, and incidents and participate in ongoing
    deployment projects

Troubleshooting network link/device/configuration issues, isolating the problem,
fixing the problem
Creating new RMA requests through OEM vendors for both replacement devices,
as well as obtaining technical assistance when troubleshooting devices.
Verify capacity, draining traffic, suppressing alarms before replacing; optics, line
cards, sup cards.
Tracking, maintaining and updating asset inventory of defective and replacement
Troubleshoot, tracing, looping links to locate the physical issue.
SKILLS
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years experience in networks installation, configuration
and support.
Experience with Cisco Nexus/ASR, Arista and Juniper Enterprise and Service
Provider network hardware platforms and architectures including data center
switching platforms.
Strong working knowledge of routing and switching technologies and protocols
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and utilize troubleshooting
skills, systems and tools, and creative problem solving abilities under pressure
Strong working knowledge of Linux OS and CLI navigation

In this role you will be helping implement network solutions supporting investigations into internal threats around Tesla facilities and property worldwide. Responsibilities The Network Engineer is responsible for effective analysis and implementation of new technologies, review and troubleshooting of Global Security's network infrastructure, and assisting in investigations into network misuse and compromise. * Implement and troubleshoot network infrastructure solutions including Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, wireless access points. * Coordinate with production network engineers to integrate into existing network infrastructure. * Manage network communications testing, installation, and support, including LAN and WAN systems. * Facilitate incident management with circuit providers to expedite outage resolutions. * Analyze existing infrastructure for signs of compromise and interpret log data from network devices * Identify and diagnose problems affecting network performance using software and hardware tools * Follow Infrastructure Solution Design as established by corporate Engineers/Architects * Provide off hours support as needed * Ensure that infrastructure for remote offices and central data center facilities adhere to organizational standards * Work with other team members, providers and customers to design, implement and support new and existing infrastructure solutions. * Create Infrastructure documentation * Stay current on industry trends and new technologies that may increase efficiency or decrease costs associated with installed systems and future technology initiatives * Act as liaison with production information technology and information security teams for network infrastructure issues. * Work with Global Security team personnel to provide solutions to technical challenges worldwide Requirements * Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training. * CCNA, JNCIP, CISSP or equivalent industry certifications * Minimum 10 years related network experience in operational and configuration support * Configuration and management experience of LAN/WAN technologies * Strong experience installing Cisco routers, access layer switches and Wireless Access Points. * Proficiency with Windows, Linux and OSX operating systems * Proficiency with Cisco and Juniper routers, switches and firewalls * Proficiency with Cisco ASA firewalls * Knowledge of routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP) * Working knowledge managing telecom issues * Ability to maintain a profession demeanor when troubleshooting issues * High level of customer care skills and demonstrates change agility around environment and technology * Intrapersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among support and project stakeholders * Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Splunk,Cacti, Scrutinizer, Solarwinds, Extrahop) * Ability to travel domestic and international if required (10%-20%) Tesla Motors Fremont CA
