As a Network Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing quality technical support for our growing client and partner base. You will diagnose problems and troubleshoot the entire Meraki product line, including our wireless access points, security appliances, and switches. Our support engineers are foremost problem-solvers passionate about networking, and we seek talented, enthusiastic and tech-savvy individuals to build upon our rapidly expanding Cloud Networking Group. Characteristics of success in this role include previous experience in supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, or DHCP servers; experience installing and troubleshooting WiFi networks; and having the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.   • Effectively communicate with third parties such as partners and customers regarding technical issues and customer service inquiries, both orally and in writing.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, security, switching, and other various network-related issues reported by Cisco Meraki customers and partners.

  • Own each customer case from initial creation to resolution.

  • Collaborate with other support team members to fix network outages, misconfigurations, and complex networking issues on customers' devices.

  • Read and analyze packet captures using Wireshark.

  • Work with engineering and management to diagnose and resolve critical, escalated issues.

  • Use acquired knowledge to suggest, edit, and write in-depth Knowledge Base articles.

  • Stay up to date on Meraki features and technology by attending lunch and learns, participating in engineering and product team communication, and keeping up with enterprise and cloud networking trends.


  • Fundamental understanding of and hands-on experience with network technologies including firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANs, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless.

  • Thorough comprehension of fundamental networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, etc.

  • Experience supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, &/or DHCP servers.

  • Outstanding English language written and verbal communication skills and comprehension.

  • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate matters to third parties.

  • Outstanding customer service skills.

  • Excellent account management, follow-through, and attention to detail.

  • Experience in computer networking related problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

  • Working towards or have a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology, Information and Computer Technology, Networking and IT Security, or a related discipline from a top-tier university. Complete degree necessary to begin work.

  • Networking certifications a plus: CCNA, CCNP CWNA, etc.

The Office Support Specialist provides support to the Director and the AAAN leadership team by providing overall office support through managing calendars, filing and handling the organization of office correspondence, reports and documents. The successful candidate will also maintain supplies and equipment; retrieve and deliver items and serve internal and external constituents. The Office Support Specialist uses discretion, adheres to ethical and confidential practices, and provides support in the dissemination of inter-departmental communication. Duties: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Serves AAAN and campus constituents as the primary receptionist for the department; answering questions, triaging and forwarding messages in a timely and professional manner * Responds knowledgeably to general telephone inquiries; greets AAAN customers in person; answering and referring inquiries. * Keeps Director's schedule by coordinating calendars, arranging meetings, conferences, and teleconferences. * Organizes work by reading and routing correspondences; collecting information; initiating communication. * Coordinates and monitors AAAN projects, meetings and conferences and travel arrangements * Develops and composes correspondence to campus constituents that requires knowledge of the department's mission, vision, and overall priorities * Apprises the staff of upcoming events * Maintains supplies within AAAN by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; stocking items; delivering supplies to appropriate locations * Forwards information by receiving and distributing communications; collecting and mailing correspondence; copying information that is pertinent to AAAN * Maintains AAAN constituents confidence and protects operations by keeping all information confidential * Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer instructions and establishes procedures * Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics. * Oversees and organizes electronic and paper filing systems * Engage in orienting and training student employees * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities * Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school graduation or equivalent * Twelve (12) months of clerical/office support work experience comparable to that performed at the Office Support Associate level of this series or in other positions of comparable responsibility * Any one or combination totaling twenty-four (24) months from the following categories: (a) work experience performing clerical/office support work, including use of computer systems (b) vocational training that provided a knowledge of generally accepted clerical procedures (c) college or university course work in Office Occupations, Business Administration, Business Education, or closely related fields i. 36 semester hours = twenty-four (24) months (d) college or university course work in any curriculum i. 60 semester hours = twenty-four (24) months PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES NEEDED TO UNDERTAKE JOB: 1.
