The Network Specialist II is responsible for providing quality services and solutions to our clients while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction. You will perform hardware installations, client onboarding, hosted voice installs, service based repair calls, and proactive maintenance both remotely and at client locations. This position includes frequent travel to client sites with occasional overnight stays.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain new and/or existing equipment

  • Install and support basic network systems including workstations and servers

  • Support archive and backup systems

  • Accurately create and maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures, including pick tickets, ticket updates, time entries and timesheets

  • Conduct scheduled onsite visits on a monthly or quarterly basis, run reports from RMM tool and perform checklist of tasks to include updating documentation on SharePoint

  • Perform new client onboarding, scan network for devices, inspect network equipment, document and label servers and infrastructure equipment, take pictures and upload to SharePoint

  • Create and update network diagrams using Microsoft Visio and upload to SharePoint

  • Provide technical support and support advice to end-users/clients regarding operational and hardware/application issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic experience with and understanding of network applications and protocols

  • Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications and Visio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current industry certifications, including Microsoft MTA, Cisco CMNA, VMWare VCA, CompTIA N+ / A+ / Security+

Reporting to the Director of Devops, you will be responsible for the availability and reliability of the Kyriba's industry-leading financial technology products. He/she will be accountable for production, development and test of Kyriba's Network including Firewalls, switches, and configuring VPNs and Bastion servers responsibilities on these systems include Network engineering, deployment, provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Network Engineering Installation of new and management of existing Palo Alto Firewalls monitoring of and recommendations for growth. Installation and management of existing Force10 switches monitoring of and recommendations for growth. Installation and management of existing VPN and collaborating with customers to implement new VPNs. Manage existing relationships with colocation facilities in Paris and the US. Hands on troubleshooting in the Paris colo facility. Familiarity with the Palo Alto Panorama management utility in day to day operations and support. Installation and management of existing Dell Blade Chassis with experience on firmware maintenance. Research, recommend and develop innovative, and where possible automated approaches for daily administrative tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale Operations and Support Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions Monitor daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media Provide Tier III/other support per request from the engineering and support organizations; investigate and troubleshoot system and application issues Implement DR process to recover services in the event of disaster Maintenance Apply network device firmware updates and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures and documentation Assist in performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment Maintain network device Monitoring and Configuration tracking Preferred Education and Experience: Prior experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is highly desirable Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field 7 years' experience supporting applications and systems in a production environment, preferably for a SaaS software organization Project Management skills, process oriented and addicted! ITIL Certification (or knowledge at least) Working knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration, installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, backup, recovery and client support Oracle RDBMS management Familiarity with VMWare and virtual machines Working knowledge of EMC SAN products Experience with Chef / Ansible CMS and Automation tools (Rundeck, Puppet, Spacewalk) Team player.
