Xtreme, a Pacific Northwest division of DISYS is currently recruiting for a Network Security Engineer. This contract opportunity is with a global auto-manufacturing company in beautiful Portland, OR.
Our client supports a work/life balance, and on-site restaurant options. Having partnered with this client for 20 years, a high percentage of Xtreme consultants are approved for extensions. Additionally, we have an on-site Xtreme support team that is always available to directly assist both the consultants and the client.
This position is a 12-month contract with an excellent chance for extension.

Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Check Point Multi Domain Management, R77.30
Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiManager, FortiGate
Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise, Enterprise Security
Hands-on experience managing Check Point/Fortinet Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)
Good CLI troubleshooting skills on Check Point and Fortinet firewalls
Ability to troubleshoot issues with the firewall and security infrastructure
Knowledge of firewalls and enterprise security infrastructure
Knowledge of Cisco networks
Knowledge of Unix operating systems
Knowledge of general information security issues
Knowledge of networking principles
Working knowledge of enterprise application architecture
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Is able to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to draft network and firewall policies and processes
Ability to work independently to achieve departmental goals
Ability to communicate with customers
A high degree of Customer Service skills
Initiative and motivation
Follows through on tasks
Integrity
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
Administers and trouble shoots the company s network and firewall infrastructure.
Willingness to work with others on problems that may not be specifically Security related.
Willing to continue the learning/training process
A commitment to total quality and the process of continuous improvement
Participates actively in staff meetings and other security and network related discussions
Ability to work in an office environment and interact with others
Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation schedule
Misc/Certificates:
General security certifications like CISSP, Security+, CISM
Vendor certifications like Check Point CCSA/CCSE, Fortinet NSE, Splunk Certified Power User
Knowledge of threat intelligence, threat hunting, and OSINT

The Security Engineer is sought out to address the most complex business and technical security problems and work assigned requires minimal direction with high initiative and thought leadership. The role will assist in the creation, development and execution of enterprise access management solutions, privileged account management, attestation programs, and identity lifecycle for internal and external partners and customers. The identity and access management framework will provide for the secure operation of applications, computing platforms, operating systems, and networks, to ensure the integrity of information assets. * Experience in implementing and supporting global Identity and Access Management solutions (Identity Management, Access Management, Virtual Directory, SSO) * Knowledge and experience on Oracle OAM; ForgeRock OpenAM and/or other Web Access Management systems (like CA SiteMinder), and API integration * Experience on Oracle OIM; ForgeRock OpenIDM and/or other Identity management systems * Experience on SSO (Single-Sign-On) technologies including Cloud, SAML and federation of identities (IdP initiated and SP initiated), multi-factor authentication * BS or advanced degree in computer science or related discipline preferred or comparable work experience. * Five or more years of information technology engineering, support or consulting experience, two of those years spent in networking, application development, system security or IT Audit related positions. * Demonstrated ability and success in: * Working effectively in an ambiguous environment, functioning independently, and effectively working across geographical locations. * Detecting and analyzing hostile and other improper actions in such an environment. * Investigating and responding to security alerts, or new security threats with a sense of urgency. * Delivers effective, high-quality solutions in a timely manner while balancing shifting priorities and, at times, accelerated timelines. * Facilitate matching business needs and services options by leveraging knowledge of business strategy, processes, and market offerings to assist in evaluating the most appropriate products and services to meet its requirements * Provide an overall perspective or point of clarification to partner on operational aspects of a service.
