Point3 Federal is currently seeking an ambitious Network Security Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support for DoD customers.

Requirements

  • Constant monitoring of intrusion detection systems.
  • Creation of technically detailed reports based on intrusions and events.
  • Provides assistance in computer incident investigations
  • Analyze and evaluate anomalous network and system activity.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving a wide variety of client issues.
  • Collaborate well with members of the IAM team on daily policy issues.
  • Provide quality customer service with excellent communication skills.
  • Recommend modifications to access control lists to prevent and mitigate intrusions.
  • 5 years relevant IT experience.
  • 5 years relevant IA and/or security experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Active DoD Security Clearance with the ability to obtain TS level
  • Ability to work rotating shifts if necessary
  • An advanced understanding of current threats and trends present in the Information Security and Technology field.
  • Advanced knowledge of network technologies and protocols
  • Understanding of network hardware devices and experience configuring Access Control Lists or other Firewall or Router configuration experience
  • Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of computer security concepts
  • DOD 8570 Compliance, or the ability to quickly obtain and maintain active security certifications: (CEH, DFR, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, or SCYBER) and IAT II (CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, or SSCP)

Preferred Skills:

  • Initiative and a personal interest in Information Technology Security.
  • People skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various clients with the ability to explain and elaborate on technical details.
  • Have used network security analysis tools such as Snort, TCPDUMP, WireShark, and other Host or Network based Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Experience with system vulnerability assessment.
  • Familiar with computer forensic tools FTK, EnCase or other network forensic applications.
  • Knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Windows OS security.
  • Knowledge of computer programming languages and scripting languages. Previous scripting and coding experience is desired but not required.

VIEW JOBS 9/11/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-10T00:00 Responsibilities Under the guidance of the assigned government lead, manage and support the program's account and infrastructure management activities including network accounts, unclassified and secure work spaces, the organization's SharePoint site collection, supplies and physical facilities. This position plays an integral part in ensuring organizational and personnel readiness and effectiveness for mission completion. It is also an essential role for the development and implementation of strategies for optimal use of accounts, systems and tools within the organization. Must be able to work with very little supervision in a highly charged and fast paced environment to prioritize and complete assigned tasks, seeking guidance and clarification as required. Interacts with staff at all levels and across organizational teams, subordinate programs, headquarters personnel and external organizations. * Serves as the alternate Information Management Officer (IMO) to assist in the creation and management network accounts as well as the preparation and issuance of employee equipment and mobile devices. * Assists in the management and usage of secure workspaces to include the establishment and implementation of standardized processes in accordance with established regulations and best practices. * Communicate with all staff levels across multiple programs to gather user requirements as well as develop, implement and convey resolution approaches. * Develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists, site collections, and user groups. * Perform typical system administrative activities such as user training, and issue resolution. * Provide technical recommendations and/or guidance to the team in the technologies related to the accounts, systems and workspaces of the organization. * Initiate, track and assist in the resolution of help desk tickets through the office IT support team(s) for the purposes of analyzing and resolving user issues. * Conducts regular informal fire and safety inspections of the program's workspaces. Accompanies the Designated Building Official and Fire Marshall during official facility inspections. Formulates recommendations and implements corrective actions to address identified deficiencies. Briefs Program Operations and AESIP leadership on key findings and outcomes as appropriate. * Serve as a primary point of contact for the management, procurement and disbursement of office supplies and materials. Conducts supply inventories, formulates and provides recommendations for ordering stock supply and special request items through established internal processes. * Submits work order requests to appropriate building management and maintenance personnel for the correction/repair of facility owned or managed infrastructure, lighting, and heating or cooling equipment. * Configure, maintain, troubleshooting video teleconference (VTC) equipment * Maintain office conference room calendars and distribution lists. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with U.S. Army program office networks, accounts, user permissions, systems and infrastructure or technical management/administrator activities. * Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications/training or work experience. * Experience with usage of SharePoint 2010 and 2013. * Demonstrated experience configuring and troubleshooting video teleconference functionality and equipment such as Polycom and Cisco. * Familiarity with Remedy IT service management tool a plus. * Experience configuring and troubleshooting iPhones a plus. * Must have and maintain Security+ and Computing Environment (CE) certification in an appropriate field or, alternatively, be DoD 8570.1-M certified minimally to IAT Level II. * Must possess/obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
