Networks Sales Assistant

General Job Description:

Weigel is the leader in the multicast television network space with MeTV, Memorable Entertainment Television being the number one rated and distributed network in the space, as well as the Movies! Network in cooperation with the Fox Television Stations, H&I Heroes & Icons, plus the Decades Network and Start TV in partnership with the CBS Television Station Group has an immediate opening for a Network Sales Assistant. You will be responsible for assisting the Vice President of Network Sales and Account Executives in creating, booking, scheduling and maintenance of sales activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Processing of sales orders in a timely manner.

Maintenance of orders (make goods, changes, and filing).

Coordination of all maintenance with clients via phone, email, or fax.

Assists in the flow of information to clients (e.g., rate changes, inventory updates, etc.)

Backs up other sales assistants when necessary.

Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

Some nights/weekend work required with additional compensation

Previous TV and/or radio experience a plus.

Candidates must have MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel experience.

Must be able to deal with deadline pressure.

Strong Written, verbal, negotiation and communication skills.

Excellent computer skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities: * Lead Current and Future Services Product Line definition that includes Network related services ranging from assessments, designs, implementations, and support. Manage technology platforms; identify customer problems, collect customer requirements globally directly from customers and from desperate sources; market analytics (share and margin); competitive benchmarks. * Product Line marketing including presentation of concepts, business case, value props, design and development methodology to key stakeholders and executives. * Collaborate with multiple services and technology Business Unit Product managers, to ensure roadmap of product/services/initiatives are widely understood, supported and aligned with the broad company strategic and product roadmaps. * Responsible for identifying gaps between the desired roadmap and the realizable roadmap and generate options for bridging the gap (partnerships, acquisitions, 3rd parties etc.) * Advocate the voice of the customer in the product development process. * Interface with Product development team and provide input on detailed requirements during development (Feature and Product attributes). * Collaboratively track and drive year over year growth around product lines under direct control * Collaborate with Commercial Marketing, Business Development and Sales Manage to develop Marketing Plan, Launch Plan and Go to marked plan and programs.
