The Network Provisioner is responsible for entering Access Service Request information in multiple local exchange electronic bonding systems for ordering standard telephony circuits. The Network Provisioner will retrieve Firm Order Commitments and Circuit Design Layout Records from the Local Exchange Carrier and is responsible for the provisioning and maintaining of all ordered circuits within the U.S. Cellular Database of Record.

  • Obtain quotes from Local Exchange Carriers for pending circuit orders.

  • Enter Access Service Request information in Local Exchange Carriers EBS.

  • Order Services for POTS, DS1, DS3, SONET, Frame, E911, SS7, IP Ethernet and dark fiber.

  • Review Firm Order Commitments and Designed Circuit Layout Records for accuracy.

  • Work with Telcos to ensure correct facilities are ordered and able to meet due dates.

  • Escalate orders that are at risk of net meeting Firm Order Commitment Dates.

  • Provision all leased circuits within the Database of Record.

  • Provision all Microwave circuits and systems within the Database of Record.

  • Ensure database integrity at all times.

  • Participate in Operations and Engineering Project Management calls when required.

  • Issue MACD orders as required to properly size and optimize the network.

  • Review billing records post turn-up to ensure accuracy.

  • Assist Network Planners with special projects, RFPs and Master Agreements as necessary.

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or IT or equivalent experience required

  • 3-5 years experience as a Network Provisioner with a wireless company, LEC or LD carrier

  • Knowledge of Telcordia standardized NC/NCI/SECNCI Codes preferred

  • Working knowledge and experience using Remedy a plus

  • Good organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills required

  • Ability to adapt to a fast changing environment

  • Good interpersonal skills with a desire and willingness to join cross-functional teams

  • Microsoft Excel data manipulation, comparative and analysis functions: VLOOKUP, FIND, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables preferred

Key Areas of Responsibility * Perform client consulting in the area of network engineering (hardware and software) using routers, switches, network security devices, protocol analyzers, TCP/IP, VPN, Frame Relay, and MPLS * Design, plan, and implement LANs and WANs using the latest technology * Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems related to LANs/WANs * Conduct throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning * Participate in various client projects intended to continually improve/upgrade network infrastructures * Follow life-cycle oriented processes and procedures * Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems * Assist in the management of projects using CDW's project management methodology * Regularly interface with technical and business staff of customers, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagements * Serve as technical point of contact on customer engagements * Create and execute test plans to meet project requirements for assigned components * Identify and communicate potential opportunities for cross-selling to the sales team * Manage time and expense to meet or exceed expectations defined in the Statement of Work * Provide high quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templates * Ensure solution is implemented as designed to the customer's satisfaction and approval * Work with Professional Services Managers, ATAE's, Project Managers and customers to manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are being met * Conducts/leads design workshops for complex designs to meet customer, business and technical objectives * Proactively develops plans and activities to avoid problems * Educates the customer on solution as appropriate throughout the life of the project or service life Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor degree in business, computer science, a related technical degree or equivalent * Five years' experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation and support Other Required Qualifications * Minimum of two years consulting experience * Minimum of one year experience in programming or analytical work * Experience with troubleshooting Cisco router, switch and/or virtual network configurations * Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs * Ability to effectively communicate with clients and end users * Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment. * Attention to detail on inventory and logistics is important Preferred Qualifications * Cisco UCS/Nexus experience is a plus * CCIE certification preferred CDW Madison WI
