Network Project Manager
Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Responsibilities:
You will be managing all aspects of implementation of Network Transformation in assigned city. You will be preparing the overall delivery schedule and time line, escalating issues internally and externally to meet deliverables, managing project budget internally and with vendor, and reporting status of deliverables. We have many contractors installing fiber in various cities and the PM's role would be to ensure the project is moving forward as planned.
Additionally, you will be: Driving complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives. Coordinating and scheduling resources across multiple organizations to align project requirements with business goals and objectives.
Identifying, monitoring, reporting and escalating project-related issues to achieve timely resolution. Developing and implementing corrective action plans to mitigate impact to project schedules and overall business objectives. Utilizing project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestones completions, project issues, corrective action plans, project jeopardies, and overall project completions.
Maintaining excellent communication with functional team members and direct management to ensure early identification of issues a timely reporting of status.

Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Technical or project management experience in Network Ops
Knowledge of PC and software applications including Windows and MS Office.

Outside Plant Fiber experience (highly desired)
PMP certification.
Engineering, Planning, and/or Operations knowledge, especially with Local and Long-Haul Telecommunications networks.
Excellent verbal and written skills for inter-organizational communications.
Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.

As a part of the team, you'll assist in developing our standard practices and compliance infrastructure, managing relationships for both internal clients and suppliers to aid in the strategic selection of suppliers, supplier diversity, and contract negotiations.As part of our team, you'll be responsible for the acquisition of services and capital equipment and goods. Responsibilities As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Job Requirements and Preferences: Basic Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree Additional Educational Requirements: or 7 years of procurement experience Minimum Years of Experience: 5 year(s) Required Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrates intimate-level abilities and/or a proven record of success managing efforts with identifying and addressing client needs including: * Demonstrates experience in a technology procurement team in a global organization; * Demonstrates extensive experience of negotiating technology contracts for a variety of IT products and services; * Demonstrates Software experience including specialization in negotiating both on premise and cloud software agreements and in depth knowledge of cloud licensing models and risks; * Demonstrates Managed Services including understanding how to negotiate IT Services for software support and the development of industry leading commercial models, experience of negotiating and drafting statements of work; * Demonstrates success working in a team-based environment with remote stakeholders; * Demonstrates experience negotiating contracts under New York or English laws; and, * Demonstrates thorough understanding of contract risks associated with data privacy and GDPR. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Extensive experience in the development, implementation, and execution of procurement strategies. Demonstrated ability to: Write complex Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Requests for Information (RFI) in related commodity areas, in collaboration with the Procurement Legal team; incorporates Procurement template content, customer requirements, and inputs from other Finance support teams. Negotiate with customers in setting realistic, quality-driven expectations of Procurement sourcing deliverables/results. Conduct or supervise facilitation of sourcing projects of varying complexity (e.g., RFP/Q/Is) in accordance with firm guidelines. Serve as a customer group(s) main point of contact for sourcing initiatives. Provide seamless Procurement support to customer group(s) by proactively engaging the appropriate Contract Management and Maintenance leader or designee to address concerns or new bid opportunities. Confirm that savings are coupled with high quality service delivery and enhanced customer access. Utilize own specific commodity knowledge and that of staff to locate and introduce the best sources of supply and services. Understand and utilize industry best practice methods and measures to enable the optimum balance of cost and quality for all endeavors. Keep up-to-date on current and emerging trends. Directly supervise others or serve in a sourcing project lead role to enable Procurement staff and/or others in the firm to contribute to the achievement of this job objective. Work effectively and in a team setting across Procurement to achieve continuous improvement/refinement. Support supplier diversity, Procure to Pay (P2P), e-business and other organizational/firm objectives. Collaborate with the US Strategy & Sourcing Director and global category specialists in the implementation and execution of the Sub-Category Strategies for specified spend area. Coach and train staff in a wide variety of areas including teaming, interpersonal skills, relationship building, and business knowledge.
