Manage the total network wide deployment of finished goods for a set of multi sourced categories ($1+ Billion in revenue) between Internal & External manufacturing plant/buffers and the Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) by utilizing SAP, APO and associated system tools. Responsible for maximizing customer service & on-shelf availability, while minimizing both supply chain cost and distressed product loss. This role is a key driver of BU achievement of cash flow, service, and cost goals.
How you will contribute
Optimize the US National Supply Network by planning deployment from Internal & External Manufacture while ensuring proper position of inventory across all US Regional Distribution Center Setting up and maintaining deployment parameters, reviewing code date requirements, and initiating stock transfers to service our customers and minimize waste across the US Regional Distribution Center Manage the Finished Goods movement from External Manufacturers into Mondelez Distribution Centers and ensure POs are maintained for accuracy on a weekly basis Resolve product availability related issues by communicating with Supply Planners, RDC Site Leads, OTIF and Customer Service Coordinators (CSC) to keep stakeholders appraised of potential service impacts and recovery timing. Key participant in Root Cause Analysis work to continually look for process improvement opportunities and implement accordingly Execute various ad hoc deployment strategies (push rather than pull) to optimize Case Fill Rate (CFR), VFR (Vehicle Fill Rating) during seasonal times and special situations (Hurricane Season) during the year. Point person responsible to run and analyze findings of various SAP ECC reports (Delivery Cut and Open Order) to support the daily DMS meetings. Apply Last in First out (LIFO) vs. First in First out (FIFO) logic on inventory needs for certain Freshness exception customers while making fulfillment decisions. Close linkage will be required with Customer Order Fulfillment Analyst to support customer specific needs in a time sensitive manner. Recommend Cost to Service (C2S) opportunities with supporting business rationale and execute movement of finished goods if approved.
Job specific requirements:
Bachellors degree or 5 to 8 years of experience in Supply Chain related experience.
Experience in replenishment, fulfilment and/or inventory management.
Intermediate Excel Skills
Ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams in multiple locations to achieve US Biscuit & Confections service, cost and cash flow goals.
Be open minded, creative, flexible to change and have a high focus on continuous process improvement.
Strong understanding of finished goods inventory strategies.
Prior customer engagement or customer facing experience.
Participating in or leading Higher Performance work teams.
SAP, ECC & APO experience preferred.
