Position Summary

The Network Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day to day operations that support the monitoring and event handling of the technology and application performance across the inFlyt Production Infrastructure. This position is responsible for incident resolution and return-to-service objectives in a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. The Network Operations Manager will be responsible for improving system experiences through remote monitoring, maintenance and problem identification and resolution activities, as well as growing and developing the organization's perception with existing customers through exceptional customer service. The Network Operations Manager will review and assess program requirements to make sure the NOC Team can fulfill them.

Key Areas of Responsibility

As the Network Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the daily performance and availability of the network. You will analyze network and propose recommendations for enhancing your monitoring and reporting services.

  • Responsible for Network Operations/Network Operations Escalations on a 24x7 basis to include all major and critical inquires (outages) and all walk up issues

  • Tracks the overall performance of the Network Operations Center to ensure company customer satisfaction

  • Provide a high level of technical expertise to ensure the development of network technologies that aid in the achievement of organizational goals

  • Provides support to other members of the Tier III level support group for any network issues that arise and facilitate training of less experienced personnel

  • Identify necessary technical training to ensure the group is adequately skilled to support the environment

  • Responsible for the overall scheduling and support plan for network operations team

.Assigns workloads and sets priorities for Team member within the group

  • Responsible for delivering performance appraisals for each team members

  • Provides guidance and clear direction for departmental as well as companywide goals to the team.

  • Insures all departmental operations are conducted in accordance with Thales In-Flyt Experience, Customer, and Regulatory requirements

  • Responsible for ensuring Ground System Incident and Problem Management reporting

  • Production and Test environments platform monitoring for alarms and performance issues on systems, applications, database and network connectivity

  • Works effectively with internal/external technical resources and customer-facing organizations to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently

  • Follows prescribed processes for Incident, Change and Problem management

  • Mentors NOC Technicians, assisting knowledgebase management and provides cross training for departmental team members.

Minimum Requirements:

.Bachelor degree in field of computer science

  • Minimum 8years' experience

  • 6+years of relevant experience in Information Technology

  • Excellent knowledge of enterprise network technology

  • Advanced knowledge of data flow, mainframe/client server systems, problem analysis/resolution, and system tuning; experienced with network interfaces and technologies

  • Able to operate with sensitivity, confidentiality and discretion

  • Proficient in Windows and Linux Server Monitoring and Administration in an Enterprise Environment

  • Proficient in monitoring a 24X7 environment

  • Proficient in systems monitoring and long term trending of SLA, performance and sizing metrics

  • Experience Monitoring Network Infrastructures

  • Experience developing, documenting and maintaining installation and configuration procedures

  • Must speak, read and write English fluently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in field of computer science

  • Familiarity with ITIL standards, Number Portability, Telecommunications is a plus

  • Must be available to participate in on-call rotation.

  • Influence on how senior leaders across an organization reason around problems, opportunities and products.

  • Understanding of management theory and organizational practices

Travel: 15% (France, India, Singapore)
