Under the direction of the Manager of Hosted Systems the NOC Operator is responsible for the proactive monitoring of multiple applications and sets of servers and polling of customer data to ensure data integrity and that customer requirements are met, administration of new users and maintenance of existing users within the PAR SaaS offerings.

  • Perform 24-hour network surveillance and alarm reporting utilizing compute, network and storage monitoring and surveillance software

  • Document and analyze alarms, identify points of failure and see through to resolution any failures working with or escalating to the appropriate department if needed

  • Utilize, manage and maintain network and performance monitoring tools to ensure application reliability (Kaseya, Nagios)

  • Interface daily with our Help Desk technicians and Leads and assist with failed/missing poll reports of customer data.

  • Collect, document, and analyzing customer trouble reports, to isolate and resolve customer facing outages

  • Setup and configure new clients as well as perform change management on existing clients

  • Participate in Internal QA testing of new SAAS releases and Windows Security Patches before deployment to live sites

  • Work with PAR Technicians and PAR management to assist in the resolution of equipment or network level outages

  • Provide and manage internal communication of Major Service Interruption (MSI) outages for all of PAR's network equipment and services

  • Provide and manage internal communication of High Risk (HR) maintenance activity affecting PAR's equipment and services

  • Facilitate escalation to Engineering as required for service specific network or equipment issues


  • Knowledge of all PAR hardware, software products and peripherals

  • Associates degree in Computer Operations or related field with a minimum of 3 years operations experience in the following areas:

  • Windows operating systems

  • PowerShell Scripting

  • General knowledge of SQL queries and update statements

  • General knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008

  • Data Center monitoring tools

As a team member for our client, the Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) Technician will support projects and customers within the IBM's clients program. This position focuses on monitoring the enterprise IT infrastructure such as: * Cloud and Physical Servers running various OS types (i.e. Windows, Linux) * VMWare environment and associated tools * SAN, NAS and associated storage hardware * Backup hardware and software * Network Switches (Cisco, Arista, NSX) * Network Load Balancers (A10) * Firewalls (CheckPoint) * SolarWinds Candidates to this role are not required to know all the listed infrastructure, but foundation experience with at least one or two, is expected. The position will require day-to-day monitoring of the operation of the enterprise IT solutions as well as performing initial validation and troubleshooting, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s and Run Books. The EOC is also responsible for following the Incident Management process which includes acknowledging alerts/alarms within defined server level targets as well as communicating outages and updates during incident remediation. Responsibilities will be to monitor and maintain all aspects of the solution, to include on-going documentation, maintenance and continuing optimization of the procedures to provide robust operations oversight while communicating status updates. This is a 24x7x365 position requiring rotating shift support as well as a US Secret Clearance or the the ability to obtain one.
