Network Operations Center Engineer

Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Network Operations Center Engineer to support DTRA. In this role, you will perform real-time monitoring and maintenance of network devices, servers, mission-critical systems, enterprise services, and networking infrastructure across multiple physical sites. As a Tier III support engineer, you will resolve technical issues, configure and maintain Windows and Linux servers, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure optimal network operations. You will also manage firewall changes, DNS entries, and port security, and develop comprehensive documentation for all troubleshooting procedures and maintenance plans.

Shift: Day Shift

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain network devices, servers, and mission-critical systems.

• Serve as Tier III support, resolving technical issues on operational network environments.

• Configure, test, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.

• Perform in-depth research to identify root causes and provide expert recommendations.

• Conduct firewall changes, manage DNS entries, and configure interfaces on Cisco devices.

• Develop and modify firewall policies on Juniper SRX Firewalls.

• Maintain operational availability and security posture through system configuration and patching.

• Log and track work products in a ticketing system and develop documentation for troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
