Position Purpose:

Learn the necessary monitoring tools, services and applications of the company by working with experienced NOC Analysts and other information technology groups to develop and maintain the Network Operations Center.


Primary Accountabilities/

Responsibilities:
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

  • Monitors and logs the 24/7/365 INTL FCStone network, data center, Voice over IP (VoIP), network, cloud, storage, virtualization, application, Heating Ventilation and Cooling (HVAC), and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)

  • Acts as a contact point for Incident Response issues

  • Assists in the resolution of all infrastructure operational issues

  • Provides data to create key Data Center, VoIP, cloud, application, server, network, job, and database metrics

  • Logging and Monitoring tool like SolarWinds, Paessler Router Tracing Grapher (PRTG)

  • Assist in the creation of NOC run-books to quickly troubleshoot and triage network issues

  • Assist in the troubleshooting of NOC issues such as VoIP quality, network bandwidth, high memory count, high processor utilization, storage issues, and network slowness

  • Contributes ideas to optimize the NOC, Data Center, and VoIP infrastructure in accordance with Information technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3

  • Monitor and escalate NOC alarm logs and alerts in real-time and daily to ensure alarms are properly addressed

  • Contribute ideas for Data Center, monitoring, logging, VoIP, and NOC growth and capacity planning

  • Assist in recommending solutions to correct network issues

  • Provide detailed description of ticket troubleshooting and implementation activities

  • Monitor and log INTL FCStone's network using customized and standard network monitoring tools

  • Coordinate efforts with support organizations, service providers, and outside personnel as needed

  • Resolve any network issues in a timely manner using network monitoring analysis and document all activities in the ITIL help desk system

  • Work with various IS, IT, and stakeholder groups to ensure the successful operation of the INTL FCStone network

  • Draft and maintain operations procedures, training materials, and other documents

  • Ability to support configuration and change management, performance monitoring, fault management, and system troubleshooting

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant work experience

  • Have 3-5 years' experience in a NOC environment

  • Must be able to work a flexible night schedule as needed

  • Technical knowledge of network protocols

  • Experience in the use of a monitoring and logging solution such as SolarWinds or PRTG

  • Experiencing using network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Pingdom or PRTG

  • Ability to assist in the resolution of network performance and outages

  • Knowledge of networking protocols

  • Efficient communication, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities simultaneously

  • Individual must be willing to work any shift

  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision

  • Must be able to quickly and effectively triage incidents

  • Must have reliable transportation to commute to/from work

  • Climate controlled office environment

  • Minimal physical requirements other than occasional light lifting of boxed materials

  • Dynamic, time-sensitive, trade room environment

  • Travel as needed

The Call Center Planning Analyst 1 provides summary reporting and data analysis for Call Center volumes and productivity to maximize staffing and meet service level commitments. Develops site/regional schedule recommendations based on forecasting and other analysis performed. Working directly with lead and site management teams. This role provides workforce management Real Time support. This includes the monitoring of inbound calls through the Genesys Phone System, and real time adherence in NICE. The team works closely with scheduling and forecasting to manage skill assignment and communication with the business. Other areas of responsibilities include: * May negotiate and redesign schedules in the workforce management system to meet division performance and productivity requirements. * May coordinate medium scope projects or parts of an enterprise-wide project. * Performs additional duties including: writing data queries, performing data mining, facilitating project work, staffing and call volume modeling. * Live monitoring of inbound call volumes and communicating with the business * Live monitoring of adherence to schedule, updating the intraday schedules and communicating with the business. * Manage skill setups for operations, updating and modifying to support the business needs * Preparing and sending reports to the business either via email or instant message to communicate performance * Miscellaneous, including required training and meetings.
