The Network Operations Analyst position is responsible for installing, monitoring, and supporting all Data and Voice connectivity for Pier 1 Imports including our Stores, Field Management offices, Distribution centers and the Corporate Office. This includes interacting with a team of analysts and overseeing the everyday performance of the Pier 1 Network. In addition, this position will configure network equipment (i.e. routers, switches, etc.), manage installation of circuits, monitor vendor SLA's, and provide reports to support existing and future network capabilities. This Analyst will provide voice support for Avaya Unified Communications and Cisco Unified Communications. On-call Rotation on a weekly rotation between team members, Tuesday Tuesday. Store and Distribution Center travel once or twice a year for store opening preparations and DC refresh where needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and perform advanced network troubleshooting techniques. Identify and replace faulty and inoperable equipment, such as circuit cards and/or router processing units (i.e. WAN Interface Cards, router CPU, etc.). Perform maintenance and minor equipment repairs.

  • Log and track calls using problem management database and maintain history records.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with service providers, vendors, and users.

  • Configure and install networking hardware for all Pier 1 retail stores and remote locations.

  • Coordinate the installation of data circuits, including ordering new data circuits and disconnecting circuits at locations being closed or relocated.

  • Support remote ISDN and Async sites periodically to test backup circuits and equipment for production network systems

  • Work with remote locations to provide LAN cabling for all devices including routers, switches, PC's, printers, etc.

  • Respond to electronic pages and phone calls from multiple internal sources and provide primary support for customers experiencing problems with network communications hardware and software.

  • There will be on-call rotation for off-hour support after business hours and during the weekends.

  • establishing networking environment by Implementing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.

  • Implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment;

  • Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.

  • Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources.

  • Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access.

  • Report network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information and managing projects.

  • Upgrade data network equipment to latest stable firmware releases.

  • Configure routing and switching equipment.

  • Remote support of on-site Technicians and end users/customers during installation.

  • Remote troubleshoot and fault finding issues occurring upon initial installation.

  • Liaison with Network Architects, project management teams, and IT service desk on a regular basis.

Education & Experience

  • 3-5 years Network Communications experience (Cisco preferred)

  • Multifaceted experience with troubleshooting WAN circuits, including Dial-Up, DMVPN, Frame Relay, MPLS, ISDN, DSL, Cable etc

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server/Workstation environment (Windows 2008 and Windows 7 Preferred)

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience

  • CCNA/CCNP Designations are a plus

  • Experience with Telephone systems Avaya PBX and Voice mail, Cisco Call manager, Configuration and moves add changes

  • Cisco LMS

  • Experience with monitoring Tools. Whats Up, Orion, Riverbed,

  • Microsoft excel vlookups, Pivot tables, Scripting a plus, Programming Perl, Python or equivalent

  • Good communication skills with peers and customers via verbal, email and phone

  • Capable of working under pressure while handling multiple issues.

We are looking for world-class talent for this position to join the 70 year tradition of creating advanced aircraft. Two primary areas of responsibilities: supporting analysis of current and future LM Aeronautics combat platforms as an Operational Concepts Subject Matter Expert (SME) and acting as one of the following: F-35 simulation "Instructor Pilot", pilot expertise during an ADP Human-In-the-Loop (HITL) event, or event lead for business development and contractual events. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Operational Analysis requires an individual to provide operational concept (OpCon), concept of operations (CONOPS), and concept of employment (CONEMP) development for future air-to-air and air-to-surface warfare to include but not limited to Expeditionary Operations; Forcible Entry; Amphibious and Air Assault; Strike; Close Air Support; Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; and Electronic Warfare across the electromagnetic spectrum, including suppression and destruction of enemy air defenses. This individual shall be considered by his/her peers as an emerging subject matter expert in fighter tactics and employment doctrine over a range of military operations. This individual shall have a working understanding of current and planned technologies for military aviation systems, to include communication networks, command and control systems, weapons, and sensors. This individual will be involved in OpCon, CONOPS, and CONEMP development activities relevant to LM product lines across the corporation. Requiring them to drive advanced and innovative operational concepts to support ADP virtual and constructive operational analysis in a system of systems environment. The individual selected will interface internally across the LM Aero Operational Analysis teams including Experimentation, Implementation, and Modeling & Simulation, as well as other Lockheed Martin Aeronautics programs. Externally, the individual will interface across other Lockheed Martin Business Areas, as well as DoD and international customers. The individual shall have: a TOP SECRET security clearance to start; meet the minimum Basic Qualifications with an extensive operational military aviation background in multi-role fighter aircraft in joint and coalition operations. Travel on occasion (approximately 6 - 12 times a year). * Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
