Mission Statement Jacobs is seeking a Network Operation Center (NOC) System Administrator to support the NISSC II contract. Your career at Jacobs enables NISSC to fulfill its mission to "provide classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at NISSC sites." As a member of our team, you will support corporate and customer mission to provide world-class IT services and support that connects systems and users across NORAD in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas.

JOB SUMMARY: *Shift work is required to support 24x7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule. The Network Operation Center (NOC) System Administrator will be a part of the 21st Communications Squadron (21CS) Network Operations Center (NOC) team in support of CMSFS mission centers, active-duty military customers, Government civilians and tenants, and NISSC II contractors.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure all network and service monitoring tools are configured, optimized, and tuned to enable proactive network monitoring. Ensure all cybersecurity tools are configured, optimized, and tuned to enable proactive network defense. Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues.

Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware. Respond to enterprise cyber security events by, blocking accounts, network isolation, access control list modification, emergency system changes, DISA first responder requirements, utilizing current capability OSCAR tool, Security Technical Implementation Guides/Anti-Virus (STIG/AV) scanning, and hash validation. Monitoring network behavior, analyzing, initiating a response, and reporting on cybersecurity events.

Provide guidance, direction, and training to others in the group. Serves as backup to other computer systems administrators. Other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll need: Position requirements: Current and active TS/SCI clearance.

Must have a current DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security ce) Must have (1) year of experience as a system administrator of cyber security compliance systems, specifically HBSS, ACAS, and Splunk Must have (1) year of experience with Remedy or a similar trouble ticket system in a high-tempo, dynamic, operations-based Help Desk environment.

Must be capable of supporting the CMSFS 24x7x365 NOC work center independently if required.

Must have experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides/Anti-Virus (STIG/AV) scanning, and remediation of critical findings.

Must be able to interface effectively and efficiently with other teams, departments, and agencies. Must have the ability to prepare and track system vulnerability documents. Must have (2) years of troubleshooting skills in the computer/system administration environment.

Must have (3) years work history. Must have a high school diploma or GED. PREFERRED SKILLS:

Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft operating systems as well as various Microsoft services and applications including SCCM, SQL DHCP, DNS, Print, and Windows Deployment Server (WDS). General knowledge of VMware virtual desktop environment (VMware View Connection server, vCenter server, vSAN Storage, Nutanix software) and associated dependencies. Understanding of network topologies and protocols. Experience with network monitoring systems such as Solarwinds or What's Up Gold (WUG). Demonstrated experience interfacing with senior Air Force and/or DoD customers, as well as experience serving multiple DoD Agencies, is highly desired.

Ability to create and modify documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). 4 years of experience and system administration of Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware. 2 years of experience and knowledge supporting the administration of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and understanding of network topologies and protocols. 2 years of experience in system virtualization of Server and Client virtual machines for various virtual desktop environments. #cjpost Essential Functions Work Environment Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle or a lab environment (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Commuting between locations may be required daily (~10-minute drive) Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Work may include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions.

Physical Requirements Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required.

May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone. Equipment and Machines General office equipment, which includes telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

May require operating motor vehicles for commuting between locations. Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is mandatory. You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work.

Travel Travel in and around Colorado Springs and Cheyenne Mountain may be required. Other Essential Functions Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications through the duration of the contract. Failure to obtain/maintain required certifications will result in disqualification for this position and could result in termination.

Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.

Candidate must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Grooming and dress are usually business casual but dependent on the client's standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.

The position for which you are applying requires a US government security clearance. This is to advise you, that should you be extended an offer, if you possess a dual citizenship (i.e., citizen of the US and another country), to be granted a clearance you will be required to relinquish your citizenship in the foreign country. This position is expected to pay $70,000 - $83,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
