DHHS IT Division's primary information technology services are Application Management, Project Management, Privacy and Security, Financial Management, Health Information Technology, Infrastructure and Service Management. Responsibility is broad in scope.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical leadership and management for DHHS IT and the customer end user computing, voice, and data network. This position reports directly to the Information Technology Division, Infrastructure IT Director.

This position is responsible for the leadership and management of the NCFAST Networking and Server support staff. This position is responsible for the professional growth and development of NCFAST Network and Server Support staff including recruiting, mentoring, counseling and disciplining.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the NCFAST Network Support Group including developing operational processes and procedures to ensure the allocation of resources and status reporting. This position provides planning and analysis for NCFAST on network-related issues. It is also responsible for the Server Support Group, including the operational processes and all technologies associated with this.

It develops all processes and procedures related to this section. This position is a good team player and has excellent customer service and presentation skills. This position must be well versed on cloud computing as well.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or a related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in telecommunications network management, analysis, or design;

or

Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or a related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in telecommunications network management, analysis, or design;

or

High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and eight years of progressive experience in telecommunications network management, analysis, or design;

or

an equivalent combination of education and experience.
