Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):

  • Minimum of 10 years of Windows and/or Linux server technologies experience including Active Directory, Group Policy Management and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) implementation.

  • Minimum of 5 years of VMWare Infrastructure experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of SAN/Blade Server infrastructure experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Security requirement implementations including the ability to ensure Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA)/M and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) compliance.

Minimum of five years of experience with HBSS implementations including the configuration and monitoring of HBSS Fragmentary Orders (FRAGORD).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Department of Defense (DoD) and DoN Cybersecurity controls including the use of STIGs, SRRs, and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) implementation.

Desired Skill Requirements:

  • Experience with fiber channel fabric/zoning/logical unit number (LUN) management.

  • HP 3PAR and class Blade architecture experience, or equivalent platform capabilities.

  • Experience with disaster recovery preparedness and administration using policy based backup applications.

Job Duties:

Supports the existing NSWC PHD telephone system from the NSWC PHD demarcation point, desktop phone unit, and participates in the planning phase for new installations. Maintains, programs, and trouble shoots the entire voice communication network, consisting of CAT 3, 5, or 5e drops. Maintains inventory, cable, fiber, manuals, and other relevant items, including work orders. Manages the recurring monthly lease of telephone lines and associated equipment and provides support to NSWC PHD directory listing for directory assistance. Provides fiber and copper wiring services in support of moves, adds, changes, and large remodel projects, receives requests for services from the Help Desk support personnel, interfaces (via email) with Help Desk personnel operators to acknowledge receipt of telephony service call records, then manages, from initiation to resolution, closure of the telephony service call records. These records are compiled into a service request log.

Education/Equivalent:

Bachelors' degree in a technical or managerial related field is desired.

This is a new contract award with an expected start date of March 2020. This position requires an active Secret clearance. In this role you will serve as a key technical leader for our team. Description of Responsibilities * Perform account maintenance including; allowing access to systems, disabling of dormant accounts and troubleshooting user logon problems on system within the command area of responsibility. * Manage correspondence with end users; respond to requests for assistance in person, via phone, electronically. * Track problems and resolutions; follow standard help desk procedures, research questions using available information resources, redirect problems to appropriate resource, identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention, track and route problems and requests and document resolutions and log all help desk interactions in designated trouble ticket system (Currently BMC Remedy). * Monitor systems for proper operation such as Antivirus, Backup Jobs and all critical processes during the workday. * Monitor logging systems for critical events that need to be escalated to SMEs for interpretation and resolution. * Develop/Update user documentation as needed. * Provide minor desk-side user support, PC troubleshooting, PC builds, moves, add and changes. * Assist SMEs with projects as needed. * Provide input to Service Desk process as part of a continual process improvement. * Track assets; Workstations, Servers and other hardware items. * Stay current with system information, changes and updates. * Maintain software inventory and licensing ensuring media and licenses are available for all core applications and operating systems. * Maintain electronic patch repository for operations group; requires routine research of available patches and notifications to the operations group and affected customers.
