What you'll be doing...

  • Partnering with RE Team to manage capital and expense spending processes.

  • Ensuring team is reactive to CIP, OCNR, RNP and matching exception goals while supporting a common financial process across the team partnership with submarket budget teams to communicate the RE teams project status via commitment view and monthly outlook capital spending.

  • Assisting team by supporting project funding and PO creation when needed.

  • Driving quarterly commitment percentages to drive team success.

  • Supporting PeopleSoft transactions and transition efforts in Ariba for electronic invoicing and payment.

  • Adhering to all financial directives, SOX requirements and supporting all financial audits directed to the RE team.

  • Supporting to provide daily financial position, spending goals and all future spending predictions to the RE team.

  • Regularly perform cost per solution analysis by program and individual; partnering with teams to drive costs down by vendor and/or solution type.

  • Partner with team to drive capital in progress reduction

  • Lead POR and invoicing standardizations across RE teams

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.

  • One or more years of experience in engineering or network finance with a knowledge of NCMS/Budget Tools or UniFi, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Ariba

  • Experience with financial tools

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Business, Finance or related discipline.

  • Knowledge of Verizon financial guidelines.

  • Strong vendor management and project management skills with experience managing the financial aspects of the RE Teams

  • Capability to be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced work environment managing multiple financial projects with a record of delivering results within timelines.

For more information, visit Highlights The Senior Manager of Network Engineering is responsible for providing guidance and direction to Network Services management on configuration, installation and deployment of existing and new technology. This position is responsible for the hiring, training, development, and performance management of staff. This role is also responsible for ensuring on-time deployment of projects, network compliance, and capital budgeting. This position is within the Spectrum Enterprise Engineering & Operations Network Services Management Security team.
