Must have skills
Must have 3-7 years of network engineering experience. Must have CISCO, CCNP, or other certifications. Bachelor's Degree. OpNet, Riverbed NetPlanner experience. Must have experience with design, routing and switching design concepts for data centers. Understanding of the routing protocols in the JD. Manager is open to a Master's recent graduate.

Description:
Senior Network Engineer, Test & Certification will be responsible for:

Build the network models in Riverbed NetPlanner software to test the impact of network changes

Develop comprehensive test plans based on network designs and test requirements.

Conduct integration testing of new network hardware, network design and software to support network infrastructure evolution.

Support backend systems integration testing for provisioning, alarms and surveillance.

Collaborate with security team to ensure new software, platform and design meets Visas security compliance requirements.

Responsibilities: The Senior Network Engineer will lead an Air Force deployment of enterprise logging architecture that integrates base-level log storage, forwarding, and query capabilities with existing central management and reporting capabilities. This deployment will encompass both NIPRNET and SIPRNET as well and include cybersecurity compliance. The position may include responsibilities for a small team. Specific responsibilities will include (but not limited to): * Function as Lead Engineer for Preliminary, Critical and Final Design reviews presented to customer. * Work with Subject Matter Experts and technicians to design, build and develop contractor lab system and Government Lab system. * Work with cyber security leads to secure system. * Develop technical documentation detailing system architecture and operation. * Develop technical procedures and tests for proving system compliance with requirements. * Execute developed tests formally and informally to confirm compliance. * Develop site acceptance test plans to confirm proper site installation and operation. * Develop instructions for building and operationalizing system and related components. * Develop production procedures for pre-deployment test and configuration of systems. * Develop site survey procedures to ensure understanding of site readiness for deployment. * Comply with and uphold configuration management discipline. * Analyze program plan and identify technical risks and provide risk mitigation steps. * Provide status of technical progress at weekly project team meetings. * Design and perform server configuration. * Furnish general STIG information and apply best practices to hardening systems. * Ensure all systems are in compliance with STIG requirements. * Apply Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scan results to determine ability to meet certification and accreditation standards. * Document all complex procedures and develop installation guides for all systems and solutions. Job Requirements Qualifications: * Active Secret clearance required. * IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (i.e. – Sec+ AND Computing Environment certification). * Computing Environment certification must be related. * Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience (6 years). * 8 years of relevant experience in IT environment. * Familiarity with DoD or Air Force environment desired. * Demonstrated background in enterprise roll out of systems. * Extensive experience with VMware, Splunk, ArcSight, and LogRhythm. * Proficiency with MS Office tool suite. * Experience applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) configurations. * Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity directives, guidance, and orders highly desired. * Good oral and written communication skills. * Ability to work well with others. * Good organizational skills. * Must have a broad, deep customer service orientation and professional appearance/demeanor. * The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
