SUMMARY:

Installs, maintains and evaluates network systems and communications. Troubleshoots the network issues with diverse scope. Assists network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.

JOB DUTIES:

• Maintains and designs network infrastructure to ensure uptime, availability/reliability and enhancements

• Researches and evaluates new methods and products and recommends their use to management, including building network and data flow diagrams

• Maintains inventory in asset management system of all network hardware, software and related licenses

• Reviews architectural plans and wiring schematics and partners with vendors to ensure data encryption is effective

• Develops project plans for system and network installations and coordinates activities with lines of business to ensure minimal disruptions

• Develops/implements approved security policies, procedures, and maintenance of communications equipment and ensures their protection and security

• Maintains cloud and digital based infrastructure

• Responsible for network performance and required reporting

• Ensures compliance with Information Technology/Information Security regulations

• Identify and escalates any potential information security risks with any new or existing systems and initiatives to mitigate the threat to the organizations confidentiality, integrity and availability of data

• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in network engineering, information systems, IT, or computer engineering or similar required or a minimum or eight years directly related experience

• Minimum of five years related experience required

• CompTIA Networking +, or Cisco CCNA certifications preferred

• Extensive knowledge of Internet, computer, routers, switches, firewall, etc. required

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

• Cloud Computing, Domain Management, Enterprise Networks, Firewall Administration, IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), Network Analysis, Network Architecture, Network Engineering, Network Monitoring, Network Operations, Firewall and other Security Hardware, IT Network Software, Network Routers, Network Switches

• Able to calculate CIDR subnets

• Understanding of smart sheets and project workflow buildouts

• Knowledge of advanced communication protocol analysis, network design and topologies, security requirements. Active Directory, ADFS, Unix, HP Aruba, dell switching, SolarWinds, Wireshark, Cisco and Fortinet

Good Faith Salary Range for this position: $89,429 - $111,786 annually. Teachers reserves the right to fill a role at a higher/lower grade level based on business need.
