Job Description:
Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division (HII-MT) is responsible for managing the enterprise architecture, engineering technical solutions to address capability gaps, and the development, sustainment, and modernization of the enterprise networks.
The Principal Network Engineer on the HII-TSD team leads all aspects of the design, engineering, implementation, and troubleshooting of switch and routed network infrastructure with a focus on stability, automation, and innovation.
Requirements
Experience engineering and supporting large scale enterprise wired and wireless infrastructure.
Knowledge configuring and supporting HPE/Aruba, Cisco routers and switches.
Experience with TCP/IP, including knowledge of common-service applications
Demonstrated ability in managing internal junior staff, vendors and service providers
Experience with presenting to senior leadership.
Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
Able to conduct research into networking issues as required with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree highly preferred in Computer Science or Network Engineering fields
10+ years of related experience
Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or other network engineer certifications preferred
Network security and automation experience preferred.
Experience with supporting collocated networks, Cloud Service Providers, AWS, Azure Google Cloud Platform, etc. is a plus
Must be a US Citizen with an Active Top Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
