NETWORK ENGINEER SENIOR - VOICE (TEMPORARY - 7 MONTH ASSIGNMENT)

Position Description

As a Network Engineer Senior - Voice, you will be responsible to ensure effective, efficient and stable infrastructure system functionality, with a focus on voice and network systems. Plan, design, and develop voice and network infrastructure across the organization. Communicate effectively and collaborate with business partners, leadership, technical teams, and end-users to successfully develop and implement UCare infrastructure systems. Collaborate with the portfolio and business teams, partners, team members and leaders to understand business needs to implement forward thinking business solutions. Represent Technical Services on appropriate enterprise Committees. Serve as a subject matter expert for IT policies and procedures.

  • Ensure effective and efficient Unified Communications system functionality, including all Call Manager, Unity Connection, Unified Contact Center Express, Packaged Contact Center Enterprise, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco Instant Messaging and Presence, Calabrio Work Force Optimization Quality Management, Expressway, Telepresence, RightFax, WebEx and desktop systems and peripherals.

  • Resolve Unified Communications system issues in an efficient, timely, and effective manner, to maximize business productivity and minimize business downtime.

  • Collaborate with the Data Center and Infrastructure Operations Senior Manager, portfolio and business teams and Business Partners to understand business needs to implement forward thinking business solutions.

  • Lead environment design session and environment implementation projects. Mentor System Engineers who are assisting with environment designs and implementations.

  • Represent Unified Communications on appropriate enterprise Committees.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for IT policies and procedures. Coordinate and assist in the maintenance and development of Unified Communications system documentation, including policies and procedures.

  • Lead Unified Communications upgrades, including after-hours maintenance. Participate in on-call support rotation.

  • Manages working relationships with Business Partners and Vendors through the life cycle of Unified Communications solutions.

  • Participate on project teams and lead portions of Unified Communications components of UCare enterprise level projects as assigned.

  • Review changes/enhancements to Unified Communications systems and make recommendations related to deploying enhancements to UCare's environment.

  • Oversee and implement Data Center Unified Communications technology improvements.

  • Assist with the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes for the Unified Communications systems.

  • Assist the Service Desk in providing end user support as needed.

  • Support and mentor other System Engineers to support Unified Communications systems to ensure cross training needs are met.

  • Collaborate with Project Leads to implement projects from a technological and architectural perspective and interact with all areas and levels of the organization.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
