Job Description:

The Network Engineer analyzes each user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop network requirements specifications, guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies, and analyzes network requirements and capacity and leads design and development activities. The candidate provides technical leadership for the integration of network requirements, design, and technology, incorporates new network plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations, and develops network architecture and network design documentation.

The candidate guides network development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of network engineering management plans and network integration and test plans, designs and performs integration of new technologies into local and wide area networks, and provides advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network problems. The candidate will also manage the transition and migration of networks and development of network addressing schemes, interact with the Government regarding Network Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts, and has ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibility. The candidate also communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Training and Certifications:

DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order. Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order.

Required Certifications:

IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification -Sec+CE or equivalent Computing Env: CCNA

Education and Experience:

  • HS/GED + 8 years

  • Associates Degree + 6 years

  • Bachelor's Degree + 4 years

  • Master's Degree + 2 years

  • PhD + 0 years

VIEW JOBS 4/1/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-30T00:00 Fort Gordon, GA Full-time GCubed, Inc. is searching for a Principal Engineer (Senior Network/Engineer) LE with knowledge and experience to plan, oversee, and conduct data capture activities during live experimentation events using a host of network monitoring tools and capabilities provided by the government. Support requires a thorough understanding of current/future Army tactical communication networks, force structure, military decision making process, and data/traffic network collection tools. Duties and Responsibilities * The contractor shall accomplish this task by first understanding the stakeholders objectives, questions, or intended outcomes. Once established: * Shall, within 30 days of project start date, write a detailed Experiment Plan which will include a project analysis where resources, scope, deliverables, and timelines will be described and presented to government. * Shall oversee network analysis capability efforts and advise the assigned government lead of the projects progress, issues, resources shortfalls, delays, and concerns. * Shall be expected to lead and/or participate in meetings and facilitate dialogues with both internal and external organizations as required. * Shall write a Final Report that includes the results of the analysis along with all supporting data within 30 days of event end date. Qualifications * Possess an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance. * Minimum of five years experience or equivalent in the following areas: IP Networks, Subnetting, Network Security, Voice over IP, Military Tactical Radios * Certification Baseline: IAT Level I * A+ CE * CCNA-Security * Network+ CE * SSCP * Certification & Training, CE, day 1: CCNP (Preferred). * Be physically located onsite at Fort Gordon. Working Conditions Primarily in an office environment. Some travel as well as some weekend or evening work may be required to support our customer.
