Network Engineer - Saas Operations

We are actively seeking experienced candidates to Join our global network team that supports FlexTrade's global operations.

As a financial services technology vendor that delivers mission critical Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to our clients, FlexTrade's global network is vital to our business and foundational to customer success. You will be a vital asset to FlexTrade's network team, which plays an integral role in the business, keeping our revenue generating SaaS environment free from downtime. This ensures we can deliver a high level of service to our diverse set of clients, including large asset managers, hedge funds, banks and brokers which in turn maintains FlexTrade's reputation as a market leader in Electronic Trading space.

About You:

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for FlexTrade's global network infrastructure. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining our production network. You will act as technical representative for your team during major incidents and troubleshooting of network-related issues. Success in this role will require strong and innovative approaches to problem solving, technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, accountability and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.

Minimal Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industry experience and expert knowledge in network operations and implementation of core network infrastructure in data center and enterprise environment

• Experience with Layer 2 technologies: STP, LACP, vPC

• Experience with Layer 3 routing protocols: EIGRP/OSPF, BGP, vRF and route redistribution

• Experience with Network security solutions and technologies: Firewalls, ACLs, IPSec VPNs; NAT on firewalls

• Hands-on experience with Cisco equipment: Nexus/Catalyst switches, Cisco ASA Firewalls, DMZ segmentation

Job requirements

Desirable skills/experience in:

• Working experience with FinTech connectivity providers

• Public cloud providers

• AWS and Azure: VPC/VNET, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, network load balancers

• Monitoring tools: Network sniffers, deep packet inspection, SolarWinds, PRTG
• Next Generation Firewalls: Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, FortiGate

Responsibilities:

• The role of Network Engineer

• SaaS Operations - is to support and implement complex network infrastructure in a mission-critical datacenter, WAN and enterprise environment.

• Implement changes in a controlled change management environment.

• Utilize routing, switching and firewall skills to troubleshoot network issues and performance.

• Participate in requirement gathering for client onboarding.

• Work with vendors to establish connectivity with remote parties.

• Perform datacenter maintenance by installing and maintaining network equipment.

• Maintain network diagrams and documentation.
