Position Summary

We're looking for a qualified Network Engineer to join our Network team. You'll help manage a nationwide network (data center, remote offices, VNP, firewalls, NAC); troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, and formulate solutions; communicate appropriately with system users, vendors, and IT teams; and manage assigned tasks/projects to completion in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches. EtherChannel, LACP, VLAN's, trunking, stacking, SVI, UCS, fabric interconnect

  • WAN connectivity. SD-WAN, Internet VPN, Metro Ethernet, QOS

  • Administer NAC solution

  • General 802.11 wireless knowledge. 2.4 and 5ghz, b-g-n-ac, MIMO, beamforming

  • Security. Firewalls, PaloAlto. Client VPN. 802.1x. RADIUS

  • General VoIP knowledge. G.711, G729, SIP, QOS

  • On Call rotation with operations team

  • Snmp, NAT, DNS, DHCP, BGP, syslog, tacacs+, IPv4, PKI, SSL, HSRP, decryption

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related area, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience at mid - large size companies

  • 3 to 5 years experience in network engineering/administration

  • Skill in: LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewalls, Security

  • Knowledge/expierence with the following would be a plus: SolarWinds, ClearPass, Netflow, Meraki, PCoIP, AWS

We are looking for an experienced network operations engineer to join our service delivery team. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated, goal-oriented, team-focused engineer with a passion for overseeing systems and infrastructure. The network operations engineer will assist with the overall availability and performance of Zoom's production services against SLA and is expected to be ready to respond in case of issues to reduce service degradation or downtime. Responsibilities * Optimize reliability, performance, sup-portability and security of Zoom's infrastructure. * Work closely with software engineers to implement new data center technologies. * Develop capacity plans for new and existing video infrastructure * Plan automated backups and fail-over configurations * Identify and assist in implementing monitoring to ensure health, performance and security of Zoom's production and non-production cloud infrastructure. * Analyze and resolve video infrastructure faults and undertake routine preventative measures as well as kick off new initiatives to avoid service degradation's. * Act as escalation point between service delivery/support team and engineering to help identify and trouble shoot service problems. * Provide technical input in reviewing architecture, policies and procedures to ensure that security, backup, fail-over, alerting and disaster recovery mechanisms are in place. * Participate in and review resting procedures for change and configuration management in production environments. * Ensure production environments and data centers are equipped with proper level of resources and are designed correctly to scale per business needs. Requirements * Strong knowledge of internet routing protocols and techniques such as BGP, OSPF, ECMP, MPLS * Experience using clouds such as Amazon EC2 and virtualization with Openstack or Docker containers. * Solid working knowledge of Open vSwitch (OVS) * Network engineering and security proficiency around firewalls and VPNs * Linux administration including scripting * Adept at working with vendors for appliances and peering. * Proficiency with Juniper required * Proficiency in Arista required * Proficiency Cisco CLI * 5+ years of experience as a Network Operations Engineer, preferably for a cloud or web company.
