SALARY:

$7,478 - $ 11,337/per month Non-PERS Rate

$7,926 - $ 12,017/per month PERS Rate

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

In the Network Engineer role, you will spend approximately 50% of your time designing, constructing, and integrating technologies which strengthen our datacenter network security posture and overall network operational health. This role is oriented towards networking technologies across the entire datacenter which requires deep understanding of networking protocols, routing and switching, hypervisors, operating systems, and emerging cloud platforms. Activities include working with architect roles to ensure strategic alignment, regularly interfacing with IT Security to ensure risks are addressed, and operational handoff to the Service Delivery team. Other duties for this role include, but are not limited to, routine ITSM functions such as Incident, Change, Problem, and Asset management.

Your application must demonstrate education and/or experience in the following:

(a) Seven (7) years of information systems experience in:

Supporting an enterprise-level, hybrid datacenter environment with a focus on networking administration, engineering, or architecture*;

OR

(b) An Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;

AND

five (5) years of information systems experience in:

Supporting an enterprise-level, hybrid datacenter environment with a focus on networking administration, engineering, or architecture*;

OR

(c) A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

AND

three (3) years of information systems experience in:

Supporting an enterprise-level, hybrid datacenter environment with a focus on networking administration, engineering, or architecture*;

OR

(d) Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

AND

one (1) year of information systems experience in:

Supporting an enterprise-level, hybrid datacenter environment with a focus on networking administration, engineering, or architecture.*

  • Experience in network administration, engineering, or architecture must include:

  • Network design, construction, and long-range planning

  • Designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid datacenter environments

  • Router and switch implementation, configuration, and ongoing support

  • Hypervisor and operating system configuration

  • IPAM/DHCP/DNS configuration

  • Designing, implementing, and supporting storage networks

  • Proven history working for similarly complex technical operating environments

  • Proven history of network design/influence and ongoing support/maintenance experience

  • Broad experience to include systems administration and monitoring

  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and an eye towards continuous improvements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely to engage with a wide and diverse audience

  • Understanding and/or experience of implementing zero-trust models

  • Experience implementing regulatory requirements such as PCI, CJIS, and HIPAA
