3Ci is looking for a Data and Wireless Network Engineer. This contract position holds primary responsibility for equipment lifecycle management, documentation, and technical support for wired data and wireless network infrastructure within our Client's company and associated subsidiaries. The role involves engineering project implementation, day-to-day operations, and troubleshooting for Cisco data communications equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless LAN technologies.
Required Education and Experience
General Requirements
Strong knowledge of Cisco wired and wireless LAN network infrastructure technologies
Configuration, troubleshooting, and administration of Cisco Catalyst switches 9K and routers (ISR 4K, Catalyst 8K)
Configuration and deployment of Cisco wireless controllers, access points, and integration with AAA systems
Proficiency in network and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, QoS, Multicast, CAPWAP, etc.)
Ability to analyze interrelationships between network, server, storage, and application problems and develop appropriate solutions
Experience coordinating with field technicians for network installations and issue resolution
Availability for rotating after-hours on-call support
Ability to handle multiple assignments and conflicting priorities
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationships and collaborate with peers, customers, contractors, and vendors
Ownership of work assignments and personal development
Essential Functions
Implement engineering projects and manage day-to-day operations for network infrastructure, including Cisco data communications equipment
Apply strong knowledge of data communications principles, architectures, and protocols to implement efficient network configurations
Collaborate with TO Security and Field Operations Technicians to ensure proper implementation and configuration of new technologies
Develop and comply with engineering standards, including documentation and product lifecycle plans
Provide support to local Operating Companies on network planning, engineering design, and consulting
Perform end-to-end troubleshooting for data and wireless LAN networks
Perform other tasks as required
