Network Engineer

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Network Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for providing network engineering support to physical and virtual systems. You will also support development and baseline of the Integrated Test Event Schedule, Test Planning activities and the development of Test Objectives, Data Requirements, Test Requirements, Test Design, Test Configuration, and Test Scenarios.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Required Qualifications:

  • Network and Operating System (OS) certifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with Solarwinds and Identity Services Engine (ISE)

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Cisco router/switch experience (hardware/software) required.Design, configure, stage, and install at remote sites.CCNA certification preferred.Familiarity with Cisco UCS

  • Configuration Management (maintaining/updating drawings/documents) experience

  • Experience with TacLane encryptors

  • ClearCom audio experience

  • IT Security experience

  • Experience with the Ballistic Missile Defense System, Ground-based Midcourse Defense program and/or the Missile Defense Agency

  • Organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations, etc.

Telework/Remote Availability: 100% on-site, working a 9/80 schedule

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$63,000 - $113,000
