  • Perform a physical audit of existing IT infrastructure on Liberty University's campus.

  • Physically locate and use network test equipment to document the IT infrastructure on Liberty University's campus.

  • No prior work experience is needed, but applicants must be willing to take direction and be trained on the audit procedure.

  • Attention to detail is essential for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

1.Must qualify for Federal Work Study Program

2.Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

3.Professional (i.e. punctual, excellent work ethic, dependable, teachable)

4.Strong attention to detail

5.Ability to work quickly and efficiently even with little supervision

6.Ability to multitask on the computer while navigating multiple programs

7.Working towards a college degree

8.Proficient Typing Skills

9.Ability to commit to a set work schedule and hours per semester

VIEW JOBS 3/13/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-11T00:00 Description: The candidate will be a member of a team responsible for the design, implementation, and support of standard configurations for all Cisco network and security platforms used within the L3Harris Land Mobile Radio (LMR) network. The team member will contribute to the detailed design of the network architecture and develop network configurations that will be used for implementation and deployment. The candidate will lead the implementation of complex customer networks and periodically provide tier 3 assistance for other team members to identify network problems, isolate root causes, and initiate corrective action in fielded systems. The candidate will also be knowledgeable in cyber security best practices and will be responsible for auditing the information security posture of the LMR system by using manual checklists and vulnerability assessment software (i.e. Nessus). The candidate will contribute to remediation efforts using cyber specific applications within the LMR system like antivirus, host and network intrusion detection, and security information and event management. Job Description: * Conduct network architecture design, feasibility and modeling * Design, analyze, plan, and modify network components and/or software by translating customer requirements and objectives into final product design * Explore network automation opportunities in system deployment, implementation, and sustainment. * Develop and evaluate network performance criteria and measurement methods * Monitor the alarm conditions on the network to proactively identify and minimize disruption and impact to the network * Utilize test methods to analyze/troubleshoot Ethernet, IP, WAN, LAN * Work with Local Exchange Carriers, ILECs, IXCs to resolve WAN problems * Provide technical support for a large enterprise network IP service Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering with network focus, Computer Science with Communications/Network Focus or related field * GPA of 3.0 or greater Preferred Skills: * Knowledge of WAN/LAN, TDM and VoIP, TCP/IP, and specific routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, BGP and EIGRP; DWDM, CTI and/or VPN technologies; Signaling protocols, TDM framing/timing, IP based networks, and SONET infrastructure * Cisco certifications (such as CCNA and CCNP) * Systems administration skills * In depth knowledge of Cisco ISR G2's and classic IOS, as well as, Cisco ISR 4K's and IOS-X * Experienced in network automation using Python, Ansible, or other automation tools * Knowledge of programming technologies, including VBA and C# * Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems * Knowledge of Information Systems Security and Information Assurance (i.e. DISA STIGs, IAVAs, CVE, Nessus) * Master's degree L3harris Lynchburg VA
