Section 1: Position Summary
Support the Ascensus network and voice infrastructure environments. This position will troubleshoot, support, and design expansion and enhancements for our Cisco network environment. This is a senior position, providing technical expertise and direction for the Cisco network infrastructure.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned
Administer and architect global network infrastructure, including Cisco Routers, Firewalls, Switches, and F5 load balancers
Design, test, build, secure, and maintain an advanced data and voice network
Produce well-designed, well-documented, and highly-available networks
Troubleshoot voice and network issues on a routine basis
Triage requests from software engineers for IT support and insight
Thorough understanding of MPLS and other WAN services and technologies including SIP and advanced routing
Analyze the existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions based on requirements
Maintain documentation and diagrams of the network environment and operational procedures
Support end user issue resolution
Participate in on-call rotation to ensure availability of environment 24x7
Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
Minimum of 5 years related experience in network voice and call center environments
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
Expert Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and solutions
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Strong network security experience
Must have advanced skills and experience with most of the following:
Strong IP / Routing Fundamentals: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, etc.
WAN Technologies: VPN, QOS, MPLS, VoIP
Strong Layer2/Ethernet Fundamentals: VLANs, Trunking, Spanning-Tree, Port-Channels
Media: MPLS, OC-3, DS3, Frame-Relay, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet
Voice Technologies: :POTS, PRI, VOIP, SIP trunking
Cisco Switches: 6500, 3650, 3850,3750, Nexus Switches
Cisco Routers: 2900, 3900, 4300
Redundant connectivity and infrastructure
Meraki Switch and Wireless Access Points
Cisco Telepresence Systems: SX20, SX10, SX80
Experience with F5 and Cisco ASA platforms strongly desired
Experience with business continuity, high availability and disaster recovery
Good team player, willing to share knowledge with the team
Highly effective communicator (written & verbal)
Cisco Certifications desired (CCNP preferred)
