Seeking a local Network Cybersecurity Engineer contractor to be a member of a leading investment banking clients Cybersecurity Operations and Engineering team in Tempe, AZ who shall be responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining network security infrastructure and application components. A Cybersecurity Engineer performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. A Cybersecurity Engineer also provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations.

The candidate will provide support and maintenance for Network Security Infrastructure, including network firewalls, network IPS, user web proxies, VPN, network packet capture, email security, network anti-malware, network access control, and DDOS mitigation solutions. The candidate should also have a strong work ethic and consistent output.

Engineer to standards, provide day-to-day operational monitoring and technical support for the network security infrastructure
Primary support and monitor firewall performance, availability, and daily health
Primary support firewall traffic flow requests and firewall troubleshooting
Contribute to and maintain appropriate architecture documentation and diagrams
Provide customer support center (CSC) and infrastructure teams with network security issue resolution and troubleshooting support
Develop diagrams and documentation to support network configuration changes
Manage, maintain or provide backup support for multiple network security technologies (e.g., proxies, VPN, NAC, etc.)
Provide security, engineering, and operational technical support
Ensure network security infrastructure devices are maintained at the appropriate patch and software levels
Perform annual inventory and vendor warranty validation
Provide network enhancements and performance tuning to increase capability to support new requirements
Plan, test, and deploy firmware, software upgrades, and security fixes
Perform research and development emerging technologies that will provide advancements in network performance and security
Manage and execute projects that integrate new technology, scales the environment to meets the networks growing performance, security, functionality demands
Must have 5+ years of experience in Network and Cybersecurity
Technical Proficiencies:
Strong experience and expertise in next generation network firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Checkpoint, etc.)
Zone based firewall policy review and implementation
Experience with network management tools (e.g., Algosec, Solarwinds)
Network Intrusion Protection System (IPS) and anti-malware solutions
User web proxies (e.g., Zscaler, Bluecoat)
VPN solutions used for remote access/telecommuting
Layer 2 extensions via OTV or VXLAN
VRF implementation and design
VSS and VPC technologies
First Hop Redundancy protocols: HSRP / VRRP / GLBP
Routing Protocols: BGP / OSPF /EIGRP
MPLS WAN Infrastructure
Enterprise QoS policing
IPv4 and IPv6 addressing
CISSP, CISA or Security + preferred

Information Security Engineer - Network Security, Analyst Job Summary As part of Enterprise Information Security, the Network Security Analyst is responsible for understand the risk appetite of the firm and appropriately managing network security controls.
