Network Architect - Subject Matter Expert (Sme)

We are currently seeking a Network Architect – Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. This Network SME/Data Automation Engineer requires a minimum of 16 years' experience. This opportunity is supporting the customer’s enterprise data analytics group, working closely with Sponsor leadership to develop and maintain a security and governance approach for multi-tenancy on the Splunk SOAR platform.

Primary Job Duties & Required Experience:

·        A bachelor’s or master’s degrees in computer science is preferred

·        Six or more years of experience working within an incident response organization identifying threats and engineering solutions to autonomously identify and respond to threats

·        Experience with programming in C# and scripting in bash/Python/PowerCLI.

·        Experience with Splunk and Splunk Enterprise Security or comparable SIEM products

·        Experience operating and maintaining Splunk SOAR in accordance to a government sponsor’s security controls and operational uptime requirements

·        Experience integrating Splunk SOAR with existing sponsor toolsets and infrastructure, to include Cloud Services, ServiceNow, Tanium, Trellix, Active Directory, Network Infrastructure, and Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise SecuritAn energetic and creative problem solver, comfortable working independently and in team environments.

·        Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

·        Splunk SOAR Certified Automation Developer

·        Splunk Certified Developer

·        Master’s Degree is Computer Science preferred

Job Requirements

·        Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly U.S. Government Security is required

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline

·        16+ years of relevant professional work experience

·        Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality

·        Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships

·        Ability to prioritize, demonstrated strong organizational skills, and ability to meet or exceed deadlines

Physical Demands: Position will require frequent sitting, standing, and/or mobility within an office setting.  Employee must be able to use hands to complete work at a workstation/computer, be able to reach, type and manipulate with hands, fingers, and arms; lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; talk, see and hear.

Work Environment: Work is performed on client site in a professional office environment with moderate stress and noise levels.  Position requires employee to effectively use a computer, potentially for long periods of time, and to accommodate potentially frequent interruptions.  Candidate should be both customer-focused and present a team approach to overall work.

Schedule:  Business core hours are Monday through Friday, from 09:30 to 14:30 ET. Standard work hours may vary for this position based upon contract requirements. Position will be located onsite at a customer facility in Herndon, VA.
