Network And Computer Technician

Under general supervision; design, install, and maintain a wide area network system for the district and local area networks at each site. Install and repair computer and communications equipment, microcomputers and peripheral equipment. Provide technical support and training to district personnel for both instructional and administrative activities.

Graduation from high school or equivalent. Coursework in the development, use, and implementation of technology applications, or technology systems is required.

BS/BA Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science is desired.Two or more years of professional experience in the installation, replacement, testing, maintenance and repair of modern communications, computer and peripheral equipment, systems, and components; including experience in installation and maintenance of local area and wide area networking using routing and bridging. Experience with physical wiring of data cables. Experience with safety and use of power tools.Experience working with adults.

Prefer experience working in an environment with children and adults. Training will be provided in areas as needed. Must hold a current A+ certification or equivalent.

Must successfully pass a District paid pre-placement medical assessment Must pass DOJ and FBI background clearance check Must maintain Tuberculosis (TB) Certification
