Responsible for installation and maintenance of the LAN Infrastructure and Server Operations. Responsible for complex testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, hardware, servers, communications devices, lines, modems and terminals). Monitors, controls and documents the performance status of the network resources. Utilizes software and hardware tools, identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network and server performance. Ensures system data is backed up and secure from unauthorized access. Responsible for making recommendations, installation and support of network devices. Requires participation in IS staff rotational call schedule.
Associates degree in Computer related field preferred or Technical Computer training preferred (work experience and/or professional certification may be substituted).
Other certification such as LINUX, CISCO, VMware, EMC Storage, etc. a plus.
Two-four year's network infrastructure or server operations experience preferred.
Advanced knowledge of MS Windows Server 2003 2008 as well as server hardware required.
Experience with LAN, routers, and firewalls preferred.
