The Network Analyst II position requires experience managing a large campus network, server and camera infrastructure,and possess a high degree of customer service, teamwork, effective communication, talent development, organizational awareness, business management, and technical leadership. Job responsibilities include the following:

  •  Participates in the development of solutions of day-to-day problems to include maintenance, modification, or development of complex inter-related network solutions.

  • Creating solutions that link technical knowledge with business, research and/or instructional solutions and may range from consulting services to developing integrated services.

  • Utilizing network/server tools and techniques to manage a large campus network.

Work Location: MIS Department

Work Hours: Monday - Friday

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they clearly possess all of the following:

  • Ability to manage projects through implementation.

  • Ability to resolve a variety of network operational problems.

  • Ability to analyze and design network systems using the application of electronic and communications principles, communications protocols, and network topologies.

  • Working knowledge of networking, telecommunications, virtualization technology.

  • Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities.

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times with exemplary customer service skills.

  • In depth understanding and troubleshooting skills in networking and server environments.

  • Experience with enterprise backup and recovery.

  • Experience with desktop imaging design, development and deployment.

  • Experience evaluating technology.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Willingness to strive to consistently improve, both personal and as a team, to achieve extraordinary results in customer services and technical skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to work independently.

Management Preferences:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with Server one of the following 2016/2019/2022.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with VMware vSphere.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with desktop imaging design, development and deployment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,an IT related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in networking or related area; or

Associate degree in Computer Science, an IT related field, or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in networking or related area; or

High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and five years of experience in networking or related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
