Network Analyst

Title: Network Analyst

Location(s): Cleveland, OH or Lansing, MI

Position Summary: Everstream is a Super-regional ISP / Carrier. The Network Analyst's responsibility will be to monitor and review network metrics for anomalies and issues within a NOC environment. Working closely with the NOC, Network Analysts will maintain records throughout the month to provide metric statistics for our high-profile telecommunications customers. They will also be responsible for analyzing metric data regularly with network engineering teams to identify problem areas of the network that require development and future maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze network performance statistics Everstream network using Solarwinds NPM, Vision Metrics and various other monitoring platforms

• Report monthly on up/down events and pass/fail metrics based on customer MSA's

• Provide feedback to NOC Management, and Network Engineering teams for identified problem areas in the network needing repairs

• Work with NOC teams and Development teams to improve NOC reporting and alerting

• Work with Engineering teams monthly to review Outages and other repeated network events

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of network troubleshooting experience in a live production environment

• JNCIA certification (preferred) but will accept equivalent CCNA

• Experience working within a ticketing system

• Self-motivated

• Salesforce, Solarwinds reporting a plus.
