The Network Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of the LAN, WAN, and wireless networking environments. This will include all maintenance and troubleshooting, deployments, expansions, and upgrades. The right candidate should be familiar with Cisco switching, Meraki wireless, and SDWAN. In addition, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendors and contractors for wiring jobs to set up new wired and wireless networks.
Applicant will be part of a team responsible for all networking at UFP Industries
Applicant will be responsible for all assigned tasks and deadlines regarding networking
Applicant will work closely with the security team to ensure all processes and devices are secured at the highest level
Works with department personnel and team to coordinate project activities
Reviews activities and goals periodically to ensure contribution to overall goals and objectives
Support new deployments, expansions, environment refreshes and upgrades. This includes troubleshooting of environments
Create technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, and as-built documents
Configure Cisco & Meraki wireless network devices
Work with the help desk to perform break/fix activities
Prepares various reports and other duties as required
Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in IS Field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in networking
Meraki wireless
Cisco Switching
SDWAN Experience is a plus
Familiarity with network ports and protocols
Industry standards for securing enterprise networks
Skills and abilities
Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work, and to meet deadlines
Ability to be mobile in the work environment; travel may be required.
Demonstrated skill in improving processes
