System Network Administrator
Oklahoma Legislative Service Bureau Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area (On-site)
Overview:
The Information System Division of the Legislative Service Bureau (LSB) supports the Oklahoma State Legislature through the provision and maintenance of infrastructure for a shared information system related to the tracking of legislation. Additionally, the division provides support to both legislative chambers for various technology applications.
The ideal candidate for this position will have between three to five years of experience in networking and servers installation, be adaptable and responsive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and be able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility.
Salary range: 65,000 - 75,000, based on experience level.
Primary Responsibilities:
The role of a Network Administrator will be assist in the day-to-day operation of LSB's network infrastructure. The Network Administrator is also responsible for installing and maintaining the servers that store the databases, the websites, and the applications used by the Senate and House members, staff, and the public.
Duties and responsibilities of this role include:
Writing scripts to accomplish maintenance tasks.
Providing reference for users by writing and maintaining user documentation.
Setting up computer systems running Windows OS.
Installing servers running various versions of Windows Server Operating System.
Setting up virtual environment using VMWares.
Maintaining the LSB network infrastructure, which connects the House
and Senate networks to the internet. Troubleshooting network issues with
the routers and switches and fulfill other networking needs.
