The Network Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of all network infrastructure, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our environment, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, cloud systems, VMware and other network related equipment. This position is hands-on requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills! The role will be both engineering-focused and strategic while working with different technology teams to deliver core business initiatives. Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks with accuracy and to meet demanding deadlines, possessing strong ethics, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Administer and maintain environments to industry best practice with focus on security and availability.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Implement, manage and support a wide range of networking solution from Cisco, Fortinet, Citrix, Kemp and VMware et al
    • Perform adds, moves, and changes on the network
  • Review and create network schematics, diagrams, and other program documentation
    • Generate & update system documentation
  • Perform network equipment and cable infrastructure installations
  • Available for issue resolution on production systems as required
  • Design & implement network Cloud presence in AWS and/or Azure and extend securely to on premise environment.
  • IPSec design, configuration, and management
  • BGP design & deployment
  • SD-WAN/MPLS design, deployment, and maintenance
  • OSPF core implementation
  • Network virtualization & multi-VRF environments
  • Security policy development
  • DMZ design and implementation
  • Radius design & deployment
  • Firewall planning, design, setup and administration is another major responsibility (Fortigate)
  • Vulnerability and security risk assessment and patching
  • Wireless network design and implementation (Fortigate)
  • Complete solution delivery including patch cables, labeling, network diagrams, and documentation
  • Change Management processes
  • Monitoring and backup strategies
  • VOIP network phone support
  • Interface with vendors such as MSPs and network equipment providers.
  • Provide day to day assistance if any networking issues occur (web filtering, remote user VPN, VPN connections to other sites, switches, wireless).

Requirements

  • Experience in network infrastructure operations in a Fortigate/Cisco environment to include: routing, switching, network management systems, IPsec tunnels VLAN, subnetting and IP address management
  • Proven ability troubleshooting network connectivity issues at all levels of the TCP/IP stack
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
  • Experience providing timely support with short notice and aggressive schedules
  • CCNA, Fortinet Network Security Expert, Server+/Network+
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully adapt to changes and resolving conflict
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Cloud SaaS and IaaS
  • Experience administering, maintaining, and supporting Fortinet and CISCO products
  • Experience in designing and implementing Cloud migrations to AWS and/or Azure
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 and Azure AD
  • Understanding of network security and managing policies for Firewalls and VPNs
  • Root cause analysis experience is required
  • Vendor and telco circuit management
