 We are currently seeking a Network and Security Administrator I to join our growing team. This position is a great opportunity to help secure the City and County infrastructure while using your technical and other skills in one of the larger local technology-driven environments. In this role, you will be installing and configuring security and network systems that are used to help secure our environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain security and network equipment.
  • Review logs and identify security issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to the communications infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on complex technical issues.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure that security standards are being addressed and that technical issues have been resolved.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of networking principles and firewall functionality.
  • Customer-service focus.
  • Hands-on problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Fortinet security products a plus but not required.
  • Certifications and training for any networking or security products is a plus but not required.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in computer science or related field and five years of experience in the installation and maintenance of security, networking, or data communications systems; or any equivalent combination of training and experience identifying seven years of experience.
